Great location on top of Iruya (you need a car if you have luggage). The Mirador de la Cruz, with breathtaking views of the town and valley, is just a short hike uphill. Nice facilities with big common areas and rooms. Very clean and quiet. Good hot water showers. Onsite restaurant that, although has a limited menu, is very convenient for dinner if you're tired from driving the challenging road to Iruya. Good breakfast. If you're interested in wild life, there's a condor nest on the cliffs right in front of the hotel. You can just sit on the patio and see these magnificent creatures fly. Also, the town picturesque cemetery is just steps behind the hotel. Worth visiting.

Bathrooms could use a bit of updating. Pillows are very uncomfortable and need upgrading. Upgrading of towels would be nice too, they are pretty old. A tea kettle and coffee maker in the room would be nice, specially for those of us that get up early.

My wife has gone on and on about how much she loved the sheets and towels, were nice. Room was nice, quiet, restaurant and restaurant staff were very good, we ate dinner three times there, highly recommend.

Unfair comments for what is a nice place to stay. 1) wifi was passable in lobby / restaurant, non existent in rooms. Iruya across the board has spotty wifi at best 2) just a warning it is a good climb up to the hotel, highest hotel in town, 1 km uphill from the bus depot 3) bathroom a bit mouldy, hot water hit and miss

Great location within walking distance to Mirador De La Cruz. Terrace overlooking the town. Own car park. Very good food at the restaurant.

If you go by car, be prepared for a long and bumpy ride to Iruya, with a steep cobblestone road leading to the property.

Absolutely stunning view from our room. Honestly was breathtaking. We could see mountain sheep doing their crazy leaping around on the other side of the canyon. It was amazing. Room was great, restaurant was great, reception was great. Nothing bad to say. The walk up the hill back to the hotel (if you go into the town )can be quite tiring but take it slow and enjoy the beautiful setting:)

The views

There is nothing else but the rooms and a restaurant and the location is a high climb on top of the top of the village. If you don’t have a car you are destined to walk up steep streets to reach the hotel.

Comfortable room, restaurant with an excellent food, a nice view for mountains. Private parking on site. A tip: when you get to a square in front of the church you need turn left, then after 10m turn right and again turn left after 30m. Do not get scared at this point - the narrow uphill street Gen. San Martin is the only way to go up and even truck somehow can fit there...

It might be tough for someone without a car as it would require 200m uphill walk...

Bathroom needs updating

Lovely hotel at the top of the hill with beautiful views. Dinner at the restaurant was very good and excellent value. Staff were friendly.
