Lovely staff, comfortable motel with assorted accommodation options including wheelchair accessible rooms. A dining room offering home cooked meals for dinner and breakfast at reasonable prices. Kitchenette with full size fridge was a real bonus for us. Bed extremely comfortable. Very handy location although the road trains can be a bit noisy . Otherwise a great stay in a lovely town. Also, don't miss the Workers Heritage Centre.. fabulous!

Because I stayed for 4 nights I was put in the former manager's residence (2 neighbouring motels in Barcaldine have been combined into one) so had large lounge and dining area, 2 bedrooms, bathroom, and an enormous kitchen. When I stayed here for one night two years ago I had a standard room and it had everything I needed. Motel has a reasonable sized pool but weather wasn't quite warm enough to use it. Barbecue area beside the pool is a nice place to sit and read. Very convenient location at the T intersection of the two highways. Everything is within walking distance. Cornetts IGA supermarket just around the corner is particularly convenient.

Located very centrally in town right on the crossroads, check in was easy. The staff member was extremely helpful in pointing us to the self-contained cabins. The cabins facilities were excellent, fully contained with cutlery, plates, fridge, microwave and stove top. Only a short walk into town to the IGA to get supplies for our weekend. The pool area was well maintained & BBQ area was clean and tidy. The laundry amenities were excellent, cheap to use and free at reasonable times. The area was quiet, only the occasional road noise from a road train. Beds were comfortable, rooms were serviced daily with fresh towels & the air-conditioning worked a treat! Check out was easy even though we left at 3am with a drop box to make for easy check out.

The only thing that I could pick about our whole stay was that the shower was small, for us it was okay but a larger individual may have struggles or those with mobility issues.

This was a great base to investgate both Barcaldine as well as Longreach. The motel facilities were excellent and the staff very friendly. Barcaldine is a historic centre for the Labor party in Australia and that history is very much on display in the Main Street. The ownership of the motel was changing hands during our stay and so hopefully the operation doesn’t change too much in the future.

Booked through booking.com. 3 kids 2 adults at Barceldine Country Motor Inn. I assumed booking.com would find appropriate accommodation. They decided to book us in 1 room with 1 queen bed. So my family and I were lucky it was off season while staying there as the staff were able to find us a room more suited to my family. For the price you pay I'd expect booking.com to do better.

Great place to stay. Pool is amazing. Clean, comfortable and staff are lovely.

We were in one of the cabins and in relation to the one we had it was very spacious and tidy. We were in cabin 39 which is very close to the pool. Pool is nice however even thought he days we stayed had highs in the mid 30 degree C the water was very cold so we did not stay in there long. The meals in the attached restaurant are large especially the rump. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful when our son accidentally locked the toilet door in the cabin. We stayed here instead of Longreach as the price was much cheaper, the photos looked nicer than the ones in Longreach and it was only about 1 hour travel to there. We were very happy that we made this decision.

There was only thing that I would say was truly bad at this location and that was the lounge/sofa - it had basically collapsed and was horrible to sit on even with extra pillows from the bedrooms. If this had of been comfortable to use then we would have scored this property with a 9 verging onto a 10.

I stayed at the Barcaldine Country Motor Inn after a trip out in the bush. I was very impressed by the cleanliness, comfort and service of this motel. The room was spacious, well-equipped and had a nice view. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was modern and spotless. The staff were friendly and helpful in particular the young man at the pool. The motel also has a pool and a restaurant next door which were great. The location is convenient and I would highly recommend this motel to anyone looking for an over-night quality stay in Barcaldine. It was a great value for money and a pleasant experience. Thank you Barcaldine Country Motor Inn for making my trip easier and more enjoyable!

Fantastic room & exceptional service especially in the restaurant for breakfast!

Public phone booth on the footpath is very close to the rooms. A loud, ignorant tourist was using the phone at the top of her voice for over an hour. Not the fault of the Inn, but something to be aware of.

We loved everything about Barcaldine Country Motor Inn, we only stayed one night as we were on a road trip, the rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff were extremely friendly. The restaurant was good as well we enjoyed dinner and the staff there were very good.
