A fabulous location on the edge of Wilpena Pound; well marked trail head and walk trails. A peaceful place. An informative Welcome to Country Nicely supplied bathroom, comfy beds, and easy supply of bottled water. Excellent dinners, coffee and wine in the restaurant. We enjoyed the options of guided tours to locations where we would not be able to get ourselves, or to understand the environment. We also appreciated advance warnings that maintenance work was going to be conducted during our stay.
Random availability of the shuttle - i.e. no options when we needed one. It would have been helpful to have some crockery and cutlery in the cabin to make for a more comfortable breakfast ‘at home’. However, we were encouraged to borrow from the kitchen.

Fabulous beautiful glamping Tent fitted to a high standard. Superb quiet location well away from very busy powered site area. Front row view to bush and mountains and private fire pit we used most nights for camp oven meals. Excellent ensuite and hot shower. Very comfy King Bed. Short walk to Restaurant for included breakfast. Excellent dinner in Restaurant 1 night.
WARNING! Nights were VERY COLD in May (close to zero) and supplied doona and blanket inadequate even with ac running at all night. We ended up sleeping inside our own down sleeping bags on top of the comfy bed. Service was patchy. Leaving towels on floor in hope of fresh towels as per standard practice, didn't guarantee fresh towels!

Great place to stay. Beautiful and clean. Beds were so comfortable. Comfortable rooms. Breakfast was included and it was lovely with a wide selection. Just a walk to Wilpena Pound. Also other lovely trail walks. The reception staff were all amazing and helpful. We did a 4WD tag along and a walk around the Sacred Canyon with Rani. Rani was just so knowledgeable and just a pleasure to be around! A wonderful tour. We also did a 30 minute flight over Wilpena Pound. Cam was the pilot and so knowledgeable about the area. I felt very comfortable and safe with him. He knew I was a nervous flyer and reassured me continually. The day was perfect. Flight was just fabulous! Perfect location.

What a wonderful place! The staff were amazing, especially our tour guide Izzy, who also did a daily informative Welcome to Country. He told the traditional creation story for the area and conveyed a real sense of connection to his country. Breakfast was expansive and delicious. The evening menu included emu, kangaroo, and crocodile as well as more familiar dishes. Prices were on the high side, but that's expected for such a remote setting. Happy hour at the bar was well attended and gave the place a community feel. Our room was basic but very comfortable, particularly the bed. We slept so well, especially needed after some long and/or strenuous hikes. While we were there, there was an issue with the water treatment system, so we were liberally supplied with bottled water for drinking.

Welcome to country was excellent. Good reception staff. Rooms were comfortable, spacious with recently renovated bathrooms. Great location with easy access to walking trails. Well stocked IGA store on site. Ease of booking scenic flight and National Park pass at Resort reception. Management is currently making concerted efforts to limit inconvenience to guests caused by works on water filtration system.
The restaurant prices were expensive. Menu choice at dinner was somewhat limited for someone with food intolerances. Chef did make effort to offer an alternative Tables were left uncleared after tour groups had eaten breakfast resulting in lack of cereal bowls when other guests arrived. Hot foods, fruit, etc were not replenished after tour groups had eaten leaving very limited choices for other guests.

Amazing place in a stunning part of the world. Good food and drinks. Friendly, helpful and informative people running it. Highly recommended, and looking forward to next time…
This is less about the property itself (excellent) and more about the coordinates for getting there. On Booking it’s called “Discovery Resort” but there are no signs to that (the name says something else) and the sat nav locations aren’t quite right…

The food was delicious. We ate at the restaurant for 3 nights and the food was unique and we enjoyed it all - very high standard. The location was excellent being close to walks etc. Service was friendly and helpful. Heater worked well and appreciated being provided with a microwave for my heat pack ( I suffer badly with arthritis).
Signage could have been better for where to start the walks. Room was small but as expected for location.

We stayed in the safari tents. They have converted my husband who was a little worried when I book it. They were warm, very comfy bed and the bathroom large with lovely warm shower. There are no TVs and phone reception limited. Which is not a bad thing. The breakfast was the basic hot and cold things but you don’t always need the fancy. We had dinner both nights of our stay. Each night something different on the menu and very tasty. We did the half day four wheel drive tour with Wayne and had a fantastic time. Awesome to see a golden spike. We had book the Lake Eyre flight but weather killed it, but the staff helped us arrange one with another company that could fly. Overall the pound was beyond our expectations. We had a lovely time there.

Safari tent location is perfect, secluded and quiet with magnificent views and comfortable accommodation. The breakfast which was included was very good and the staff were friendly and helpful. Special mention to Chelsea at resort reception who went out of her way to make sure everything was fine in a cheerful proactive manner.
In the change of seasons it can be brutally cold and the air conditioner is a necessity. We prefer not to rely on the aircon and would have appreciated an electric blanket to take off the edge. The wildlife is becoming tame, and tourists should NOT FEED THEM.

A brilliant location, right in the heart of the Pound area and the centre of the main walking tracks.
We liked almost everything. My only negative comment is that the walking trail maps and descriptions supplied were small and a little unclear. E.g. (1) the red route on the map was not identified in the legend; (2) the Bridle Gap track appeared on signs but wasn't described in the walking map summaries; and (3) the info about the indigenous ceremony onsite, and indigenous sites and activities further north in the Flinders, was only verbal from reception, and wasn't clear on any literature we were given.
