We had read many of the reviews on booking.com and were quite apprehensive about our stay at the Gawler Ranges Motel. However, we were pleasantly surprised by our Deluxe Queen Room at the rear of the motel - it was quiet and comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. Yes, the motel (and our room) certainly did need a dose of TLC but we would stay there again without hesitation. As a base for exploring the wonderful Wudinna area, we would highly recommend a Deluxe Queen Room.

The room was big with a separate bedroom for up to 3 kids. You can park directly outside room.

Aircon in kids room made so much noise it had to be switched off at night, in summer. The local town has little available, especially on a Sunday. So the motel could at least sell some milk and cereal to guests. Shower was ok except for fact the cubicle has no barrier at the floor level and easily floods the whole bathroom floor without even trying.

Really nice large comfortable rooms.. Good bed and plenty of space in the bathroom. Nice indoor pool and parking right at your door.Close to the highway but far enough back to not hear anything.

Unfortunately the restaurant was closed. In the past, when I've stayed there, I've had good meals at the place. So I was a little disappointed it wasn't operating.

The room was huge and the air conditioning was excellent (the overnight low was 31c). The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and there was a couch. Overall a good stay, I would stay again.

The TV did not work.

Staff very helpful. We asked for crockery and cutlery to be provided so we could prepare own breakfast - as not available. Went to local hotel for dinner. No restaurant at Motel.

Hotel only provides breakfast for its own guests. Would be good if Wudinna motel could include breakfast as an option.

The motel manager was very friendly , and was happy to assist us with laundry facilities. Would stop in the Wudinna area again. We were travelling home after a long trip in Western Australia , and didn’t have enough time to explore the area.

Everything is thought of in these spacious clean rooms! Staff at check in were helpful and friendly, we also ordered a meal that was delivered to the room, was tasty and affordable.. it’s the little things, the electric blanket, coffee facilities etc

Easily accessible, very family friendly, manager was so polite/friendly/helpful. Older style but still clean! Really lovely place looking forward to staying again on our return home. 5 stars for a country motel❤️

The accommodation was clean, roomy and had everything we needed. We self catered using the microwave in the room. We had a great sleep in the comfortable bed

The motel room was quite roomy and the bed comfortable. Even though the motel was situated on the highway we were not aware of any traffic noises through the night. The steak meal in the on site restaurant was delicious..
