The staffs were really friendly and showed us how to use the gated parking upon check-in. Great location, great air con, ensuite toilet and shower, soft beddings and mattress, all we needed for a stopover was provided. Their fried rice was also a bargain. Probably the cheapest dinner option in town and tasted better than some of the Chinese takeaways I tried in Perth. I’ve read the news about the town being ‘out of control’ and this property made it to the article as a victim of the outlawed violence. But seems like they’ve taken it as an opportunity for refurbishment. Well, not a full glow up but you still got some tiny improvements. New windows were very clear (especially compared to the one at the front desk), kettle and microwave looked very new. Nevertheless, it was still an hundred-year-old property and you can’t really expect much. It was the cheapest option in town when I made the booking, but the property did the job.

To be honest most things I dislike about here is because of the town itself. Hot, dry, full of mosquitoes. The property was run down, but I don’t see much difference in other properties in town. If they’re all old then why pay extra? No WiFi in the rooms. Could be a bummer for some, as Telstra was the only carrier in town. If you really need WiFi then you may have to stuck yourself in the public space as their WiFi were only available around the front desk.

Great location and easy to find. If you can’t find it on the map then just direct to the post office(Meekatharra LPO) and you can find it easily. Staffs were very friendly and helpful. The front desk hosted us spoke Mandarin so it’s a plus if you are a Chinese speaker. Their dinner options looked decent and tasted good. Room was clean and very spacious. I drove northbound from Perth and I passed by some other properties in town. Some of them looked very old but somehow had the audacity to charge more than this hotel. If you need a stay over in Meekatharra then I assume this hotel provides the best value for money in town.

The hotel looked very old and definitely needed a refurbishment. Drinks were a bit more expensive than in Perth.

Location is very easy to find with safe gated car pork inside the yard. The room looked old but the bed was comfortable enough for one night. Their fried rice was affordable and yummy! I love to support Asian business wherever I go, not only because they’re my people, but also they always provide the best value. This hotel didn’t let me down.

No much complaints! Just a reminder that this hotel is more than 130 years old so the expectation has to be realistic.

The staff accomodated our request to be in rooms nearby. The Chinese cuisine in the restaurant is hot, fresh, and delicious. My room had starlight curtains which produced a very relaxing, peaceful effect at night with the dappled light from the street coming through opaque cutouts in the curtains! Really beautiful.

I really like Meekatharra hotel. It is great value for money and a friendly place to stay when travelling by road through Meekatharra.

Comfy bed, yummy Chinese food delivered to your room. Everything in town within walking distance. Both owners are friendly and go above and beyond.

Rooms are outdated and old and creaky but that makes for the experience. I have had much worse on mining camps.

No supermarket open and no internet

I was very pleased with our Accommadation. The manager was a lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful. They shut the gates at 9pm and open at 6am we wanted to leave around 5.30am and his wife got up at 5am and opened the gates. The food was good and was brought to our room when we were ready. The room was better than expected for a budget room, had a bathroom with shower, bed was a queen size and comfy.

The staff were very welcoming. My request for an early lock up release of my car was completed with no problems.

The family in the next unit (shared wall) were very loud eg. Talking loudly and rudely. I was woken up at 2.30am with wailing and crying from both an adult and the children which continued until 3.30am. I had my alarm set for 3.45am for an early drive so essentially had been awake an hour earlier than necessary.

i really like their food.

Deco very basic. And I don’t like the town. But if you short in cash but still want a night then this is the only place to go.

I like to support Asian business around the country. Their service is unbelievably good.
