Staying at this hotel was a lovely Austrian experience - there was a pleasant cafe-bar with outside terrace, and breakfast was very good. Also a lift to all floors. We had a spacious de luxe room which was excellent with a great bathroom and good air con (which we needed as it was very hot!). Although there is no restaurant, we had a delicious evening meal at Gasthaus Poppmeier across the road (which is open every day). The staff were very pleasant and helpful, and our party of 10 all really enjoyed our stay.

Parking was free but limited unless you arrived there early.

Spotless clean recently refurbished hotel. Nice comfortable room with a modern bathroom and huge shower. Breakfast is served downstair and is plenty with lot of choices and eggs dishes for the guests that wants it The location is fantastic. In our opinion st Paul is the best village of this area and offer lots to do and stunning views of the farming area.

We wish the antique grand piano in the breakfast room was kept in working condition. It’s really a beautiful instrument

We usually stay in this hotel on our way to and from Italy. It has never let us down. Comfortable rooms. Rich breakfast from 6:30 and we can go on our way. There is so much to discover here - beautiful nature, abbey. We are wondering if we will stay here longer in the future.

We always stay at this hotel on our holiday trip to Italy. We are very satisfied. The rooms - especially the ones on the second floor - are new and completely renovated. The beds are comfortable. If you get a room facing the back, you can enjoy a peaceful sleep with the window open and the fresh mountain breeze of Carinthia. Personally, we also like the smell of the Austrian countryside. Our breakfast is sufficient, it is tasty, composed of quality meat products and cheeses, but also sweet cakes or pastries.

I can't think of anything to complain about.

Very nice place with a with family atmosphere. Very good breakfast and nice and helpful staff. We arrived late, but this was not a problem and somebody was still at reception.

The only remark: the standard of the room according to the photos looked a bit better than in reality (family room). The entrance to the room was directly on the children's bed and it was difficult to go to the other part of the room. However we only stayed overnight during a long trip so in the end it wasn't a very big deal.

Very good location. Very nice hosts, great food. The only thing that could be bothersome was the vibrations felt in the room at night. Fortunately, around 22-23 the vibrations stopped. I think it was a resonant extractor from the restaurant which was located on the ground floor.

Breakfast was great, very delicious options, very friendly staff. Late check-in was no problem, everything went smooth. Room was nice and clean, beds were comfortable.

The door of the bathroom was transparent, that is a bit uncomfortable when you travel with teenager kids.

Perfectly clean and very comfortable rooms. It seems that the hotel, or at least part of its rooms, has been recently refurbished and modernised.

Breakfast choices and logistics could be improved. For example the coffee machines are quite slow and placed too close to juices and yogurts. A line to get coffees blocks access to juices, etc.

Landhotel Freitag is a very nice place to stay right in the center of idyllic Sankt Paul im Lavanttal. Though it overlooks the main street, there's minimal traffic, the whole village is really tranquil. The hotel is very clean, nicely maintained, comfortable, well-equipped (wifi, bathroom amenities, tea and coffee in the corridors (the former is free, the latter for a nominal price) and I got a very friendly welcome. Breakfast is really great with many types of local/homemade products (cold cuts, cheeses, dips etc.). Though I usually don't like it when coffee comes from an automatic machine, it actually makes very decent coffee.

As it's an older structure, the door of my room didn't really keep any noise out, so any movement on the corridors could be heard loud and clear. But that's really the only thing I can criticize.

Great place situated in the countryside. The whole area is peaceful and quiet. I had a very good night sleep. I stayed in the single room number 5. Really nice, clean and tidy room with a compact but lovely and well decorated bathroom. The breakfast was very good, with good selection of breads, the cheeses were lovely and the coffee from a proper coffee machine was absolutely spot on.

Nothing i can think of. Everything was good for me.
