The resort is 45 minutes away from the Deadman's Cay airport, which gives you an opportunity to see the beautiful scenery of the island. The staff is expedient and welcoming and can help you organise the shuttle from the airport as well as the tours around the island. The view from the room is amazing, especially at sunset and at sunrise. The rooms are clean, the food is amazing and it is a great value for money. You will feel safe as crime is basically non-existent. Definitely recommending the resort and coming back as soon as I can.

Bugs! Bring insect repellant and Benadrill cream as the sandflies are brutal.

I had such a great time at Stella Maris. The people and service were wonderful. Food and drinks were great also. If you’d like a feel for what the old Bahamas must have been like, this is a great spot to go.

There was nothing I didn’t like about the property but if you go expecting the glitz and flash of a resort like the Atlantis, you’ll be disappointed. This was down home Bahamas charm.

The most accommodating and friendly staff I have ever come across in all my travels around the world. Exceptional cleanliness, good food I cannot wait to go back and I don’t often go back to the same place but here without a doubt it’s on my list again. Thank you Stella Maris

Not a big thing at all - atmosphere in the bar area as it was quiet there was never any encouragement to have a drink but as I said I did not mind this as we would sit on our veranda in the evening and have a drink.

The owners are open to new ideas so they organised a Latin dance night upon my arrival. The room was comfortable and quiet, the food was amazing and so were the drinks. The staff is kind and friendly. This time I rented a car and drove back to my favourite places, but I also went on a boat tour to the Cape Santa Maria Caves. Sadly, the sea was too choppy for snorkelling, but the view was majestic.

Very helpful and accomodating team in reception and the main restaurant. We loved our room: generously sized, nicely decorated, convenient kitchenette corner. The nature pool was fantastic, and it was great to be able to use resort equipment (snorkeling, bikes, etc). The food was very good, we ate well. 🙂

We loved the location and food in the beach bar, unfortunately the server there was not very good: not especially friendly or quick.

Property was nice. Staff was very nice. Good and quick breakfast. It’s on a quiet secluded spot.

The water is very salty just like you are showering in the Ocean. I also think the room I was in was underpowered with the AC because the ceiling was high and creates a lot of heat. It took a very long time to cool down. My friends rooms were very cool no AC problems.

We got an upgrade to a big cottage for free that better suited our family needs. Stuff is friendly and nice.

Dated & worn out. Pools were not functioning. They did step up and move us to a better unit.
