The staff was great, the location was excellent and the loft itself was very nice.

During the weekend we stayed at Mare Loft, the major aspect which was considered not so good was related to the lack of hot water at the shower and at the Jacuzzi.

It's a very charming hotel, the breakfast was good, and the location is amazing if you want to be close to the centre. Daytime receptionist was very warm and helpful.

They should notify that there is heavy construction happening all around the hotel. I was awaken each day at 07h by saws and hammering. The daytime receptionist was warm and helpful, all others were cold and not even acknowledge when you walk by and say good evening. The downstairs, non air conditioned portion of the room was not useful aside from having a fridge. They do not clean the room unless you request it from the reception. Our bathroom was not very clean upon arrival but it was better after we requested it to be cleaned. The parking is a few hundred meters away from the hotel. Locking and unlocking the door from the inside requires the key, the key also turns on the power so coming in at night is a hassle. There was water damage and cracking of the ceiling in our room. The pool was filthy, disgusting, dirty. I used at night and the next morning when I saw it in the daylight I almost threw up knowing that I'd been in there. A film of filth, hair, and bugs.

The breakfast was very good. The rooms were nice bit needed some maintaining (windows) the staff did sometimes just the bare minimum.

Upon arrival a few things were not right: the door knob was loose, the water cold, the air conditioning downstairs wasn’t working. We’ve mentioned it several times. Only the door was fixed. We had ti shower cold which was rather inconvenient because if our baby and toddler. We had booked two eooms and paid. But till the end our toddler didn’t get a plate for his own.

Though i could technically see the ocean from my room, it was over the top of the buildings between the hotel and the beach. Also, no balcony or porch in the room, so could only see the ocean by getting up and looking out the window. My room was also two floors, and while the upstairs bedroom was cooled nicely by the AC, the downstairs living room/kitchen was too hot to enjoy. Can’t kite from the part of the beach this hotel is at. 1/2 mile or so in either direction to kite. Got way over charged for a downwinder to Ilha do Guajiru arranged through the hotel; I heard $500rs when she’d actually said $1500rs!! Arranged my own the next day for $700.
