The property is beautiful and is located close to several restaurants and bars as well as the best beaches in the region while still being quiet and peaceful. The pousada is also very close to the Associação Peixe Boi, where you can have a tour of the river and see the manatees close by (not to be missed!). The owners are always around and are very helpful. As there are only 4 chalets you feel very well looked after. Breakfast was very good and there was a different regional food for us to try every day. The room was very comfortable with a good AC and bed. The mobile 4G network in the area is spotty, but the pousada's wifi was very good and the TV in the room even has Netflix, which worked perfectly. The property sits between a river (where sometimes manatees can be seen) and Tatuamunha beach, which is a short, 7 minute walk away. We only went to the beach for a quick sunset walk and as it was high tide, the stretch of sand was very small, but it looks like a lovely beach to chill at when the tide is lower.

There is a lot of construction/development going on in the area so you may hear some noise in the morning if you get up a bit later (which I don't recommend as the region is best explored during the day, starting as early as possible, also it's nothing some earplugs can't mitigate). While the main road is being paved, a detour was created which cuts behind the property and the river. It's got some bumpy/sandy bits which may seem daunting at first, but are pretty easy to navigate with a normal car. If you get back to the pousada around 17.00-17.30 on a weekday, expect a heavy flow of trucks, cars and motorbikes heading to the main road. Paving of the original road should be finished around mid-2023.
