This is definitely a first class hotel. Everything from receptionists and staff, to the room and overall condition of the property are all incredible. It is run like a big city five star property. I could spend several days here and hope to return one day. If you're looking for a first class experience, consider Hotel Rio Penedo.

Great staff, very polite and supportive. The place is very calm, clean, comfy! It has a nice pool, with relaxing area in front of it, gym, pool table, a jacuzzi space (needs booking at the reception) and is very near the famous places of the city. Highly recommended.

It's probably not an issue that the hotel can solve, but a sidewalk outside on the road to the town centre. We had our baby with us and felt a bit risky walking the pram in the middle of the vehicles road.

Just a little aged and the room we stayed in had a faucet that worked but need repair on the handle.

Delicious breakfast! Plenty of choice for all tastes. The hotel is perfectly situated, within easy walking distance of all the restaurants you would want to visit in the evening.

At this hotel you really feel like home. It is a very cozy place. The breakfast is awesome. The bed is very comfortable. There are multiple entertainment like pool, game room, hot tub and gym. There is a shared stay room on the main floor with a beautiful stone fireplace. The staff really try to do the extra mile to make your stay the best.

The bathroom of 302 room needs some improvement. There is a leak under the sink. The toilet and the shower drain are almost clogged. The shower glass door needs to be moved up a little bit, it is too close to the floor touching the floor stone doing a huge noise, specially after a hot shower. I believe the door needs to be solved fast to avoid brake the glass.

The breakfast was ok. Nothing out of the ordinary. However when I asked for an omelette for my husband the girl told me that she would do me a favour this time but it was the last time!!!! Also when I arrived in the afternoon I asked the receptionist to tell me what there was to see and she told me that the girl at reception next day wold give me all the details. She did however tell me about the local restaurants to have dinner at. The next day I came down and the girl didn`t have any information to give me and when I asked for a map not even that. So in the end I was saved by good old google. I felt they just couldn`t be bothered. Also the wi-fi was terrible,

The place needs to be updated. Too much mess in front of the hotel due to building. They are not worried about comfort
