This is the perfect place to stay if you're exploring the Sambor Prei Kuk Temples. The location is ideal, and the property itself is a hidden gem—lush with tropical greenery and full of charm. Our rooms were beautifully decorated, the bathroom was modern and spotless, and the pool was a welcome treat after a hot day of exploring. The staff are warm and attentive, always ready to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Breakfast was delicious—one day it was a buffet, the next à la carte, likely based on guest numbers, but both were great. We found this hotel to be excellent value for money. Just a heads-up: with all the greenery, the occasional gecko may sneak in—but that’s part of the charm of staying somewhere so connected to nature. Highly recommended.

The staff were really good at all times, very friendly and helpful. The ginger welcome Drink is delicious. The garden setting was very nice. The pool and the whole area around it and the restaurant were excellent. The room was big and spacious. The breakfast was good too. The restaurant food is very good,though a bit pricier than normal (to be expected). The temples 31km away are well worth a visit. Of course, they are nowhere near as big as Angkor Wat but the setting is unique, a really special atmosphere. Way better than we expected, don't miss them! The town Kampung Thom was good too, It's a short walk from the hotel (800m) and there is loads of activity along the river with very friendly locals, delighted to pose for photos and to have their photos taken with you. Plenty of good restaurants too, if you don't want to eat at the hotel all the time

The bikes - the hotel offers free bikes which sounds great until you see them and sit on them. Abysmal, unmaintained, wrecks! We still used them, even with almost no brakes, rust and dust everywhere. What could be a great experience is more a trial of patience. A huge letdown. This is also the only hotel in our 12 days in Cambodia which added 3% for paying by credit card - a little disappointing for such a hotel

Lovely setting, peaceful gardens, lovely pool- the staff were delightful and always very friendly. Made a great base for Sambor Prei Kuk and staff very helpful to organise these for us. Also my wife has a shellfish allergy and the staff were very helpful to advise and liaise with the cook about this which was very reassuring . We could use bicycles for free and ride up and down the river road which is as fun. Glad we stopped here as it showed us some real life in Cambodia and real quiet yet ancient temples in forest, and not just the tourist sites of Siem Reap.

My family of 7 had a wonderful stay at Sambor Village. It is the perfect place to have a 2 night stopover from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh. The staff, service and food was exceptional. We arrived on Christmas Eve to a delicious roast dinner and dessert. We rode their complimentary bikes around the village and into the busy township on Christmas Day and also booked an hour sunset cruise for USD$10 pp in the evening which was well worth it. Highly recommend a stay here. You will love it. 💜💜

We stopped at the Sambor village on route from Siem reap to phnom pehn. We were only there a day and I wish that we had planned at least 2 nights. It’s a quiet oasis, where you can relax and eat delicious food. We didn’t get a chance to see the nearby temples but did use the free bikes to explore the countryside a little. Dinner was delicious and the service outstanding. I would definitely go back.

The whole experience was great. The place had real charm. Using an old wooden building on stilts as the reception and main eating area added to the charm. The hotel was like an oasis and retreat within a rural setting. Coming back to a relaxing pool made it a real treat after being out all day. The breakfast was fantastic - so tasty, healthy and with so many options. The staff were so friendly, helpful and attentive - and were so keen to make our experience such a pleasant one.

There was nothing we could fault. The place appears to be so well maintained, clean and tidy. The staff and the setting were the key ingredients to such a wonderful stay. Just keep on doing what you've been doing!

its just a fantastic place , quiet , by the river , away from the noisy main road. the chef is cooking a very healthy and good khmer cuisine . all the staff is very gentle and attentionned , pro and cherish on the cake the manager Chanthy is on top of a super nice and qualified person , a charming lady that will help you out finding good plans for the continuation of your trip . in short , a nice place to rest and visit the surrounding especially Sambor Prei Kuk .

I stopped off here for two nights on my way from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh. It was the perfect choice of location for relaxing after so much sight-seeing in Siem Reap. Each bedroom is its own little bungalow; absolutely adorable. Check-in was smooth and I experienced the staff as friendly and competent. The whole place has a really relaxed vibe. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was served up very fast but there was no compromise on the flavour - beautiful. The same for the dinner I had on one of the evenings. It’s in a great location to visit some of the 6th Century temples; maybe a one hour drive. I didn’t use the free bicycles that were provided as I just wanted to relax but it’s a great option. I had no issue with the WiFi.

The water in the shower wasn’t hot one of the mornings but it was fine the next day.

Very friendly staff, nice pool, very nice garden environment, good restaurant.

Prices in the restaurant are higher than usual. But it's definitely justified by the quality. There's not much around and finding transportation is a bit harder than in the big cities. But that's somehow obvious and the staff can help you with that.

Attentive staff, excellent food, and a peaceful, quiet place. Perfect for a family: they provided an excellent child’s bed (the best we’ve had while traveling) and adapted to our child’s needs (e.g., playing with rabbits in the courtyard). We also borrowed their bikes for a ride (free of charge). Truly, we highly recommend it!
