Nothing comes to mind - I spent 40 years flying all over the world and sleeping in hotels - The owners have paid attention to detail. Frank at the front Desk was like dealing with old friend - very helpful. The Hotel is for me one of the Jewels in the Kootneys - Phenominal views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Right in the heart of Kaslo - easy walk to everything. Summer or winter, it would be my choice.

The hotel is in a beautiful setting in a lovely village, and the renovated heritage building looks very authentic. Our room was very spacious and comfortable, with a big balcony overlooking the water and the mountains. The staff were very friendly. The restaurant downstairs was good, and very convenient!

A minor point - some information about the hotel and things like where to get food - would have been helpful in the room, although there was some in the lobby downstairs.

Excellent location, ample parking, well maintained building. The restaurant had a fabulous view overlooking the lake and mountains, and the food was very well prepared. Our room was very spacious.

The beds and the chairs in the room were very soft. As someone with a bad back, 2 nights in the bed was definitely enough for me.

Excellent location with excellent views. The staff was accommodating and pleasant. It was a gem of a town.

We liked everything about the property, but the restaurants were closed when we were there and so there was nowhere to find food mid week in April. Just check ahead of time if restaurants will be open when you’re there.

You could tell the hotel is very well cared for. Maintenance in the room was impeccable as there was no paint chips on the walls or broken tiles in the bathroom. Also the room was very quiet including the heating system.

The hotel restaurant didn’t open until 11:30 so no breakfast on site. No one was at the front desk at checkout so we were unable to tell them how much we enjoyed our stay.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean, comfortable and it was great to have a small fridge. Food in the pub was good. The location was great for exploring the area.

The only criticism, and it is a minor one, is that there was some noise transfer from the pub. It was quiet by10:00 PM so didn’t pose a problem for sleeping.

This is a hotel in an older style which was its own attraction. The room was spacious and comfortable and had its own balcony. The restaurant was popular and the food was good. The hotel overlooked the lake which was lovely, but unfortunately we did not have the weather to enjoy it.

We found it odd that the restaurant did not provide breakfast.

Overlooking mainstreet was entertaining. Enjoyed coffee on the deck while the town was waking up. The other side would have a stunning view of lake & mountains. Breakfast across the street at the Corked Fork is recommended. Lunch and dinner at the hotel was delicious. The staff are helpful and friendly.

The property was great

The morning we left the door didn’t work to let my husband out to the car and back in it was 6 am he had to yell at me to come let him back in the door was supposed to work with the key it did not work

It hotel is right downtown. It has a good restaurant were you can eat inside or outside and you have a good view of the lake. The bathroom was spacious and very clean. The bed is really comfortable. We had a balcony facing the street with all the charming old town buildings.

The hotel does not serve breakfast. (But there are several places that open early just a minute or two away).
