The location is really nice. The area has a nice places to eat around etc. I really like the view of the lake

The hotel is old so it is showing its age. There were cracks in the basin for hand wash in the room and in a couple of the common washrooms. The carpets are a bit dull as they are old and worn. Also for some reason the bath tub in our room was extra slippery and there was no bath mat also. So we had to be really careful while we showered and got in and out of the bath tub. It is a really fall hazard. For the price of the room it would be nice to have breakfast included in the room. The things mentioned above is the only reason i gave an 8/10 for the hotel. Else everything else is a 10/10.

Location ok, dated furniture, etc but clean. Looks like our room had a bathroom reno which was very nice and clean. Surprised that bathroom had no heat, just the one unit controlling the whole room.

Originally given a room which I specifically asked if it had a open balcony and was told , yes. However when we entered the room, we found out that the balcony doors were blocked/bolted off and could not be open to use balcony or for free air, Asked for a room change which we received. Housekeeping was very helpful in moving us to another room.

Staff was great. Infact, there was an irrate customer that was handled by the front desk with great, respectful service. The restaurant has set a very high standard. Service was great food was excellent. I was only there one night but it was memorable.

My only issue, and this in no way harmed my stay, the balcony was covered on dead fishflies and was not cleaned in a long time. I was reluctant to comment anything negative because I really enjoyed my stay.

The simple family feel of it.

There were several repair issues on site. The hot tub jets didn’t work, both vending machines on 1st floor didn’t work the 3rd floor vending machine took money from us and didn’t give soda twice. The door out to deck was sealed shut and we asked if it could get fixed and no one showed up until our last day of trip.

Enjoyed the size of the rooms , the comfort of the beds, inside access to shops the restaurant and Robin’s and parking lot that was free and the view

The only part was the loudness of children running up and down the hallways on our floor and above and playing mini sticks in the hallways when trying when we were trying to sleep

Our room was overlooking a tarred roof. We were just there one night so not a problem but if we were staying longer that would have been a problem. Not much to do in the town. Descriptions online lead to me to believe that there would be more to see and do. We missed the Gimli Glider musuem but I googled it and enjoyed reading the story. Conv

Great location. Nice pools. Gull restaurant excellent.

Air conditioner was abhorrently loud, luckily temps weren’t too high so we didn’t need at night. Parking lot a gong show. Too many restricted spaces and lots of cars parked without the required permit.

The location was great. I wish we had booked a room with a lake view instead of the street view. The room was comfortable and the beds were cozy.

The bathroom could use an upgrade. Lots of water stains and dirty wall paper. Also, the in room coffee was terrible.

The excellent staff..especially Richard & Prince ..who went out of their way to help with my handicapped friend.

Hot tub very small and dangerous to get into. Also one elevator only & with handicap person..if elevator broke ..could be problems

Location is the best. We had a room with view on the city and we could enjoy live music on Saturday night. King size bed was extremely comfy.

Outside the hotel looks like new, but inside lacks freshness. Some things need to be changed ( blanket with moth holes). Mirrors and glass doors could be cleaner.
