The bed was comfortable. All staff were helpful! The options for a room/stay were varied with every place facing the ocean or a lake. You can even choose a Glome. You also have a perfect view of the ocean from the tables in both dining areas. Activities for children, besides the wonder of the beach, were thought out with even an opportunity for a marshmallow/s'more roast. There are bags of rabbit food at the front desk if you want to feed the tame bunnies roaming about. The grounds are beautifully kept and in a mostly natural state. Every evening there is a musician/singer in the lounge where you can dine, relax at the bar, or sit in the comfy armchairs and sofas and where there is a lovely fire in the huge hearth. I especially love that all construction, art, employees, are Nova Scotian!! And that they offer a mobility chair that goes on the sand and in the water!!

I, as usual, didn't like those pesky black flies and mosquitoes. But it's to be expected when in the woods. When in the ocean breeze, there aren't any. Bring insect repellent, with tick repellant in it. If you want to hand feed the bunnies be sure you don't have any scent on your hands because they may turn away.

beautiful location, lots of activities to enjoy, well placed cabins for privacy & view.

Dinning.!!!! The dinning room was awful. In an area known for its wonderful cuisine this was the worst. It was definitely a middle class “rubber chicken” restaurant. No option for breakfast but a buffet when all some of want is a cup of coffee and a croissant . .then the buffet was not even kept fresh. Mediocre. Lunch and dinner were the same service was slow but pleasant but slow. Attention was not paid to what we needed or when. We chose to eat elsewhere after trying each meal at the resort. Why not have more than one dinning facility for different types of customers. With children , adults only etc. Menu should have different choices for lunch & dinner. If staying there for an extended period I want to be enticed to the dinning room with an excellent chef and varied menu.

The food was good. The halibut supper in the dining room was excellent. To charge $6 for a single scallop was very strange.

When I booked, thought I was booking a room in the lodge with a balcony overlooking the ocean. Apparently I booked through a 3rd party online. I had imagined our room was in a hotel like building. Instead we were in a building overlooking some other waterway. There was a rustic balcony but couldn’t be used because of the bugs. We were bitten by several. The bugs did not seem to be an issue anywhere else on the property.

Fabulous resort but weather was terrible so didn't get a chance to really enjoy all the facilities. The main lodge was spectacular, great entertainer and amazing view overlooking the Atlantic. Just a great place all around. Loved seeing all the dogs, pet friendly, and the ability to feed the rabbits (food provided by the property). They were adorable to watch hop around the property.

Bathroom was so small with very little places to put things. There was a lot of sand on the floor when we just arrived so some carpet runners which may have helped but not a big deal.

The entire staff we encountered were all very friendly and as accommodating as could be. The room we eventually ended up in, as well as the one that we had been originally assigned, were both very clean. Food was delicious, especially the mussels. A huge thank you to the hearty fellows who tried their best in ridiculous weather to solve the problem!! As well, all front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. A special shout out to Heidi, who took excellent care of us while we were waiting to see if the sewage problem could be resolved, and when it was determined that they couldn’t fix it, she afforded us nicer accommodations, which made our stay that much more enjoyable. Will be wanting to book again in the summer to enjoy the nice weather and the beautiful beach and look forward to a day when we can make better use of your amenities. It was very nice having music in the lounge in the evenings also.

It was inconvenient having to repack our belongings and move to another location due to the sewage system being blocked. Maybe ensure everything is in proper condition before letting guests into the rooms.

Lovely quiet spot, right on the beach. The beds were comfortable, there were enough pillows, coffee, tea and a microwave in the room, an extra blanket and an iron. The food was excellent, although for what it is, a little on the pricey side. Staff were excellent, friendly.

The walls between the rooms are so thin that we could hear the people on either side speaking in their normal voices. The TV couldn't be turned up past 10 points, the captions were disabled, so this made it difficult to hear programs consistently. As well, on the second morning we were woken up by a barking and a squealing dog, whose owners have left him in the room while they were at breakfast...

I was so delighted by every detail of our stay at White Sands. This is a comprehensive resort, like a stay a week and never get bored kind of place. Like the kind of place that you make new lifelong friends. Before we left, I started planning the next time we can stay, and for much longer next time. The gorgeous beach, the resident bunnies, the incredible view, the bounty of activities available... It was a perfect getaway. The only thing that could have been better was if we stayed longer.

Honestly, I can't think of anything. I loved it all. We could have easily filled a week. Our kids had so much fun! It felt like we were inserted into and welcomed into a community from the minute we arrived. Only five stars!!

Beach

Two out of three of us ordered the buffet one evening and it just was not of good quality. We asked for three orders of toast to go and we were told we could not have it to go. We went to White point Beach to be outside. We would have loved to have an option to eat outside but they do not provide that. Even though next to the dining room there is an outdoor deck with seating. They do not utilize it nor are we allowed to take food outside to eat there. That's silly! It's a beautiful spot. We will be back just a couple of minor things that we thought could be improved on.

The property is beautiful, well kept and very comfortable.

The food. For a resort of this calibre I expected the food to be second to none. Supper, chicken club was over cooked, bordered burnt. Same for another couple that ate with us. Grilled cheese was burnt. They didn’t eat the majority of it and the server didn’t ask if there was anything wrong. Breakfast on a Tuesday morning at 10:30 they were out of bacon. Ordered a fruit plate only to be told 10 minutes later they didn’t have enough fruit to make up a fruit plate! Very disappointed in the food.

This is a resort with everything you need, and a near by town for groceries for those who don't want to eat at the lodge restaurant every meal. For us it was the tranquility and the beautiful little bay of the location. We came over from Bar harbor on the CAT ferry to Yarmuth, the drive to White Point resort was an easy 2 hours. We stayed in what they call a "Glome", which maybe a brand name for a yurt. It was awesome, felt brand new, beautiful finishes, small but well equipped kitchenette, bath room was also like new, shower was nice had rain head and hand held but would be a little tight for big guys. Hot tub was well maintained right on our own deck over looking a small lake which backed to the ocean. ( a berm separated the lake from the beach. ). You could definitely hear the ocean waves putting you to sleep. Also a pretty 9 hole golf course on the ocean is either on the property or right outside the entrance.

We had no complaints.
