Spacious room with very comfortable beds. Fridge, microwave, little table and two chairs were convenient to have. Very clean room and bathroom. Vinyl flooring so no smelly carpet. For fresh air you can open the window backing up to the farm fields. You can drive 25 min to Rondeau Provincial Park and Greenview Zoo in Morpeth. Greenview Zoo in Morpeth is unique as you can feed animals from hand. You can buy small bag of food for the animals for $4. My favourite thing to do at the Zoo is feeding little sweet Lemurs by hand. You can feed from hand Alpacas, Deer, Capybara, Goats, Cows, Pigs, Donkeys and little horses. Only Tigers, Lions, Caiman and some Monkeys are not allowed to be fed. Paradise to get to wildlife so close. Colonial Motel is perfect location to get there. Also it is 1h drive to Point Pelee National Park.

I know it is standard to have one luggage rack but I wish there two racks provided so one of us wouldn't have to keep our bags on the floor. Or perhaps little Ikea side table ($15 only) to keep bag off the floor would greatly help.

Although the motel is older everything we needed worked fine and the unit was clean. The owners were extremely pleasant to deal with and accommodating. Would definitely be my first choice when back in Chatham, and financially it was an fantastic deal.

There was nothing I didn't like. As an older motel it was in the best condition it could have been.

The motel was located in a very quiet area. There was actually a field behind the motel. We appreciated being away from the main flow of busy traffic. The motel was very clean. It is very basic, but a great price, very friendly staff and clean and comfortable.

The motel is not updated, but this did not bother us because it was very clean and quiet. The price was very reasonable so we were not expecting anything too fancy.

Had just about everything I could want. The room was spacious, the beds comfortable, lots of hot water and overall spotless. Having a coffee maker, fridge and microwave was a nice touch, along with a good flat screen TV and decent channel selection was appreciated.

Only thing I could have liked was a hair dryer, but really did not miss it.

The room was roomy. It was also clean. The staff was great and even got us extra toilet paper, soap, and shampoo when hubby asked.

Great location on the edge of town and friendly staff/owners. Quiet place to relax after a day of travelling and visiting.

Checking in was easy, room was nice and clean, property was quiet and we as a mom and a daughter, we felt safe.

The doorknob/lock for our room was very loose and needed to be repaired but as I mentioned I felt completely safe.

Wifi was horrible!!!!!! Never able to connect to any of their networks. Went to McDonald's to setup our maps.

as soon as you came into town the motel was right there, check in was 2 minutes and everything needed was right close. gas station was walking distance and Tim Hortons was a two minute drive.

Nothing it was a perfect stay.
