This is pretty much THE place to stay in Moosonee, partly because everything else is closed. The standards are very good, what you should expect from a Wyndham property, even in the budget Super 8 line. Very kind and accommodating staff. Fridge, microwave, mini Keurig in room. The building is either relatively new or relatively recently completely refitted.

Carpet needed a good vacuuming. But I don't think that was lack of effort or intention by ataff, rather more likely a vacuum cleaner that needs a refresh. Room otherwise was spotless. The price is way high, but that's supply and demand. At a Manhattan price level, it would be nice at least maybe to have a set of dumbbells for fitness, and a treadmill, like Super 8 Timmins has.

Northern Ontario is not exactly known for great accommodation - remote communities like Moosonee even less so. This hotel stands out like a bright star. Everything is new. Everything works. The interior decor is stunning, the rooms, including bathroom are huge, and the beds super comfy. The hotel has a lounge with free coffee and orange juice for guests who take the train out of the community. The train leaves at 17:00. Checkout time is 11:00. Bags can be stored and the lounge used to wait. Good job that matches the needs of remote community travelers.

Breakfast was great, and the staff were so friendly. Jay, the assistant manager, was particularly helpful. Friendly atmosphere in the lobby, met people from all over.

Breakfast was okay considering the pandemic. I would recommend this Super 8 hotel. The location is excellent just walk down the 1st street from the train station and you are there. People are very friendly also. You can book little tours from the hotel also.

I did not get to see the aura Borealis in the night. Prices for items at the grocery store are very expensive.

Large spacious rooms, comfortable beds, new & clean, good location. Friendly staff...after checkout willing to hold on to our luggage gratis, laundromat on site.

Added bacon (a protein) for breakast would be nice.

Moosonee is a very small town and the service at Super 8 was Super. The girls were always smiling and very helpful. Breakfast was more than adequate. Our room was cleaned every day and they made a special place for our bikes.
