Great value and very clean. I stayed here a night in early September while doing the Lake Temiskaming loop tour by motorcycle. This is not a Marriot, Hyatt or Hilton. It's a road-side motel from 50-60 or more years ago but in good running condition. The rooms and beds are nice and comfortable. The washroom was tight but manageable. The shower is nice and hot water. My room had a microwave which I found very useful. The hosts are available only by phone, they manage guests remotely but are always available to talk to and very professional and caring. I will definitely recommend this motel and would book again.

They run it very economically, sometimes so much that they don't light up the front of the motel at night. You'll pass right by it missing it at night time.

Very clean. The room is small but we were only staying there for sleeping purposes. It served very well for our stay. They send you your password for your room so theres no front desk or person to talk to which is nice as it’s very private. Close to Walmart, Tim Hortons and other popular places.

I loved the room however on our last day someone banged repeatedly on our door and before we could talk or try and get up to see who it was they put our password in and tried to open the door while we were still in bed. Thankgod we had our chain on the door. It was 3 hours before our checkout time and they woke us up. We had a long night and didn’t appreciate the very abrupt loud knocking at 9 am in the morning. I thought someone was trying to break in.

My friends and I enjoyed our stay at the wheel inn motel. The day before check in we had a hiccup in our plan that would make us arrive later than previously expected. The staff at the motel ensured that despite our hiccup the check in process went smoothly. Throughout our stay and problems or inquiries we had were met immediately with response from the 24 hour assistance offered by the motel. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was both comfortable and enjoyable (fixed problems we had, advised us where we may not have a great time, informed us on activities that we may enjoy, and much more!) As for the town the motel was located in, it was a nice small town, with plenty of nice people. Personally I found myself going on walks every evening and throughout the day because the town was extremely enjoyable to stroll in. If you should find yourself out this way I would encourage those to have a stay at the wheel inn motel.

Tea, coffee was available via a percolator in the room. Location was excellent near Canadian Tire, lots of stores in nextdoor malls. Shower head pressure was the best ever. Could have stayed in the shower forever. Liked the additional/extra sink in the kitchen area. Spacious room. Check in worked. Office manager walked me through the process. My cell phone had died, so I got emails later.

Easy to get too. And easy access. I was on the lower floor so can’t say about access to the upper level.

That u had to talk to someone on the phone to check in. I know it’s a new age world. But having someone great u is very pleasant when ur traveling

It seemed very quiet. It’s a bit dated and small, but the bed was very clean and comfy and even tho the bathroom was small, it felt cared for.

Nothing I didn’t like considering it was a good price, clean and it was available last minute.

It was handy for parking and accessing the stairs. The room was clean and everything worked. Generous with towels and other amenities.

The tub was very rusty and we couldn’t turn off the dripping tap in the tub. My husband thought you could take more care in sweeping and keeping the stairs and area maintained.

Location was great.

TV cable/satellite did not work. There was only one remote in the room (don't know if there should have been 2 or not?). Contacted hotel and (one day later) didn't get an answer yet.

Pigeon issues, get rid of them roosting on the roofs and balconies

Minor maintenance issues. Bath curtain rod loose. Front door locking mechanism was loose and the locking/unlocking button difficult to use because it didn't work normally. Some paper plates and dish soap would be a nice addition.
