Gary was so very accommodating. When we arrived he gave a personal tour of facilities. Our ferry was delayed and he let us stay in our unit way past check out time. Our room had gorgeous view of the water. Loved kitchen area, where you made your own breakfast with food provided by the hotel. Kitchen was accessible from inside corridors and available for your use for other meals. Room had fridge, microwave, sitting area, table and chairs and nice updated bathroom. Hotel was located very close to ferry.

Well-organized and functional, it's a good spot to spend the night if one is intending to catch the ferry to Newfoundland. The place was clean, quiet and the staff helpful. Breakfast is serve-yourself, which is useful for early departures.

There are no restaurants or groceries nearby, so be prepared to back-track or else come prepared with the necessary. There is a well-appointed kichen and a seating areas for guests, and the rooms are equipped with small fridges. A good functional place to spend a night.

It was very clean, quiet and well kept. I loved the setup for breakfast. There was a good selection of food. The host was very accommodating. We were late getting there, and he had to return from his hometown to check uds in. Also, he gave us an extra room because the room with the soda bed wasn't available.

The bedding is outdated. That being said, it is very well kept up.

This was absolutely the best accommodations we have ever had. The room was clean, the shower comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipped and clean. We had a view of the straight from our room. The proprietor was wonderful! We had laundry facilities, which we used. Everything was clean and well equipped. The service was first rate.

We were sorry that we could only spend one night - we will remember this place if we ever come again - room 8!

Breakfast was make your way, with hotel providing the food. Kitchen was also available for other meals with your own food. We had a beautiful view of the water.

Breakfast was great. There was everything you could want for breakfast and the kitchen was very clean and well equipped. You cooked your own breakfast but everything you needed was there.

We were pleasantly surprised by the auberge and there was nothing that we disliked.

Shirley and her son have a created a comfortable and homey atmosphere for this inn. Cozy, quiet rooms and a beautiful view of the bay across the street. All kinds of food items are available for the included breakfast, which is serve yourself. We had to get up very early to catch the ferry and it was no problem. Would definitely stay here again.

Loved how cozy it was, huge kitchen with anything you could need to make breakfast yourself and the owner was very friendly

Its a little steep of a hill to get to the reception with a low car but that isnt something that can be helped😃

Nice interior with wooden panels, very tastefully decorated. Large comfortable rooms. Very clean. Great dining room. You can come anytime before 10 am and make your own breakfast. Finding this jem of a hotel in a remote town is a surprise.

Everything was perfect! The owner was wonderful at showing me around, it was very clean, it was comfortable and welcoming! We felt very at home there and it was a perfect reprieve after a 13 hour drive ! I highly recommend!

The interior door to the hall way inside the hotel really could use a latch or chain of some sort other than just a lock on the door knob for extra security and to keep little ones from wandering accidentally!
