Very clean and modern. Room was spacious and really comfortable. Staff were friendly.

Only minor feedback below as overall I was happy. There was a slight odour on my floor and in my room on level 17. It’s a bit isolated from shops. There are some local restaurants next door and a small mart in the hotel lobby right next door. For non Chinese speakers… Some of the staff spoke minimal English but I had to rely on other English speaking guests for assistance in communicating. They also use a translation app which can be helpful. Hotel accepts card payment but there is no atm. I downloaded ali pay which is used widely for payment at shops. Also google maps didn’t locate the hotel at exactly the right spot. I took the hotels airport transfer bus from terminal 1, level 4 gate 12.

The shuttle service. When I called the hotel upon arrival to ask where to wait for the shuttle bus, the information given was not clear at all. Hotel staff's English language is a problem. I think the hotel should attach information on where to wait for the shuttle within the booking confirmation emails. For international, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan arrival, the shuttle stop is at the Terminal 1, departure hall gate No.12. And where the shuttle bus stop is at Terminal 2. Also indicate the frequency. As for my experience, I had to call 3 times, waited 1.5 hours. For a hotel that is 30 minutes' drive from the airport, a reliable shuttle service is essential. Thank you.

It has a gym (which is why I chose it). Two gym quality treadmills and 2 ellipticals, plus weights. Some reviews complain about breakfast. You are in China! From my experience this is an average to good Chinese breakfast buffet. Complaining about the lack of Western foods is like a Chinese person complaining about the lack of fresh vegetables at a US breakfast buffet. Room clean and bed comfortable. WiFi good. Staff friendly , though English not great it is sufficient. Some reviewers complain it is in the middle of nowhere. It is a new town under construction. If you want to visit Chengdu then book a hotel there instead.

Main complaint is getting there. Zero signage at airport. Information desk correctly sent me to gate 12 up by the Hong Kong departures. But this was after some time wandering around. Details should be sent to all guests in booking confirmation.

The hotel itself is great and affordable. It was clean and our room spacious, great view and had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable - we chucked on a movie and pretty much fell asleep right away hahah We booked this for our short layover and it served us well for that purpose. However, getting there and checking in were not the best especially after travelling for 10 hours. Check in staff and lobby were chaotic and then the language barrier doesn’t help but we got there in the end. The front desk system could do with a bit of improvement but the overall stay makes up for it. The airport shuttle was good but just be mindful that it’s just under a 30min drive from Tianfu (TFN) airport. We didn’t mind but I know this might be helpful to know. The breakfast was okay. Not a lot of standard European/continental/American breakfast style foods so be mindful of that. As mentioned, for what we needed it for, it served it’s purpose

Very nice Western style typical Holiday Inn Express. Well working convenient shuttle to/from the airport (app. 30 minutes), well appointed rooms, quiet, accepts credit cards (a rarity among the Tianfu airport hotels), alley with restaurants, super market and souvenir shops right around the corner ( bring cash!), 24 hour check -in, you pay by 24 hour period starting at time of check-in, means daytime use will not require booking for 2 days, front desk staff speaks at least some English (not to common in China), superb price -quality ratio

The included breakfast offers very little choice for western taste, heating system in the rooms calls for improvment

Price and the fact they allowed me to check in at 7:30am after an overnight flight. Nice and comfy bed. Gym was clean as well.

Need more information about bus timetable and where it leaves from / what the bus looks like as I messaged the hotel prior to coming asking this question but didn't receive a response until after i left. Just FYI it leaves from International departures GATE 12! Also its champagne coloured and has Holiday Inn amongst a few other hotels on the side. Breakfast wasnt amazing but hey the price was right so cant complain too much.

It's perfect for a stopover. There are some reviews say that there's nothing around the hotel - it's not true. There's a small newly built district, full with local diners, shops and convenience stores. They're open until late; we ate at some place at 11 p.m. The transfer has a schedule, and they follow it, just ask the hotel. It takes 30 minutes to get to the hotel from the airport, exit 12 terminal 1, about once in half an hour. The hotel itself is as clean and comfortable as you can expect in China. Bed sheets and pillows are perfect, bed is comfortable. For those who complain: be realistic. Breakfast is not Western, it's Chinese, but you can always find eggs, toasts and sausages. As well as something interesting. We spent a night there between flights, and would do the same for sure next time we're in Chengdu.

The room was a suite, with a total of 4 beds! (One in the living room, a big bed and a small bed in the bedroom) Didn't have time to enjoy the breakfast and so cannot comment on that.

The hotel was opened in 2022 but the floor in the room looks 10 years old, which suggests that the maintenance is not very good. (Our flight was in the morning, so we moved from the city of Chengdu to this hotel for the night before the flight. The hotel was fine for just one-night stay.) Still about half an hour to the airport.

Check in was quick and informative. Easy to book shuttle back to the airport. I loved my room. Room was warm. Bed was comfy. Nice water pressure and heat in the shower. Nice big window to look outside. Bottled water in my room on arrival. Breakfast was varied. I enjoyed it. So many dining choices just around the corner where everyone was so friendly and helpful.

There were a number of long black hairs around. Not the end of the world for me as I just put them in the bin as I found them, but I could see it really bothering some people. Other than check-in, staff weren't very friendly at reception and gave limited directions on where to find their restaurant that had been mentioned when I made my booking....(I was told "out left") There's actually lots of food options around the corner from the hotel.

Airport shuttle could be improved as it was overloaded and chaotic when we arrived. The driver had no idea that there were so many passengers and he drove a small bus to pick up the guests, some had to carry their luggages up the bus and some had to stand throughout the whole shuttle journey. One passenger was upset and he shouted at the poor driver when asked to wait for the next pick-up. Kudos to the driver as he handled it very well and laughed it off to diffuse the whole situation. The next day morning, we had problems with the elevator as one broke down and the whole hotel was rushing to eat breakfast and check-out. We had to wait for a few rounds of lift and even resorted to travel up before going down again.
