The historic courtyard was beautiful and in a relatively quiet spot, and the room was quite comfortable with very modern restroom facilities. The owner was also very hospitable, helping us carry luggage up the stairs and also connected us to a driver to get to our next hotel in Lijiang. Breakfast was tasty and had quite a few options available, we particularly liked the rice noodles.

Although the location is quiet, the sound-proofing of the rooms is not perfect and we were woken up in the morning (6-7 AM) by loud noises from other people in the area sometimes. If you're a light sleeper and want to sleep in, ear-plugs would be a good idea.

Located in the heart of Dali Ancient City, the hotel is close to all the vibrant attractions yet surprisingly peaceful at night, ensuring a restful stay. Great location, really near to the best streets in Dali. Very traditional appearance (great for photos!) and friendly staff (although English not spoken at all times), good breakfast room, and communal sitting areas (inside and out).

The room was on the smaller side of others we experienced in Yunnan. The corridor to the hotel was inundated with photographers and their subjects so we regularly had to wait to come in or out (or face the wrath of the photographers!). Not the hotel's fault but a little inconvenient. That said, it also backs up the great location!

Beautiful place set around a courtyard on a quiet road just off the main drag - so very convenient but still quiet. The staff went out of her way to pick us up and see us off. The room was a bit eccentric but lovely - old style at first glance but lovely modern bathroom. Breakfast was fine - all the necessary was there. It looks authentic and atmospheric but still all the mod cons.

The mosquito net around the bed was a little unnecessary - but basically no complaints.

The Location is great because it is within the heart of the old town but bear in mind that car drop off is not possible, you need to walk quite a distance with your luggage should you have a big case like us. However, the property keeper assisted us in transporting our luggage upon our arrival around 10 pm. I wish to stay more days like 5 nights instead of 2 nights.

The bathroom. Well, the set-up + fitting is model and functional but wall+door in between the room and bathroom are transparent glasses. Not only this property, but a few properties in Yunan have bathrooms with such interior design that my sister and myself :( . It is not the interior design, other than that it is 5 5-star bathroom.

It is a small and very beautiful courtyard, perfect for us as we wanted to experience the old chinese style of living. It is also very comfortable, with a big shower and bath. The location is absolutely great because it is right in the middle of the ancient town, but on a quiet alley. The two ladies managing the place were very kind and helped us organize the transportation from and to train station/airport (as cars are not allowed till the accommodation) The breakfast is noodles soup or eggs, yogurt , coffee, fruit so it was enough for us.

1. Location It was inside old town, which got quite noisy in the evenings, but the moment you stepped in, it was like a different world - silent and calm. 2. Beautiful accommodation The inn is beautifully preserved with modern sensibilities. It was winter when we stayed and the room had floor heating, electric blankets and a portable heater. Even the curtains were remote controlled. We weren't too used to the pillows provided though! They were a little soft. 3. Hosts We are hosted by 2 ladies who shared with us details (very succinct details) on restaurants and attractions and were contactable on wechat any time. We appreciated having them advise us on all things Dali. 4. Community We became friends with the other guests that we were staying with and talking over breakfast and being at the courtyard after was such a joy. The space was really perfect for us to get away from our stressful lives and we are thankful we stayed here. 谢谢你们的关照！我们住的很舒服，民宿也充满着诗意. 有缘再见！😍

Sound insulation. Especially when the guest above walk, the ceiling will creak. Facility is abit old, the shower door couldnt close fully, there is a gap in the seal which causes water to splash out even though the shower door is close. Water temperature is not consistent.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful and accommodated our dietary requests. The property was situated on a quiet alley, right in the heart of the ancient city of Dali. The rooms were clean and comfortable and modern, while retaining the traditional style. Outdoor courtyard with a fish pond was beautiful.

The wood windows can’t be tightly shut, so bring mosquito repellant. (Host provides electronic diffusers and a bed canopy.)

Location is excellent as it is in the center of the Old Town. The hotel is quiet and full of history inside over 200 years old. Staff are very helpful. They can pick up your luggage with trolley at the closest entrance of the Old Town since cars are prohibited to drive in the town. Breakfast are delicious especially the rice noodles soup. By staying there, I feel like I am going back to 200 years ago.
