If you are a light sleeper, try to get a room farther from the elevator. Late arrival and early check-out guests woke me up on both occasions when I slept in a room by the elevator. Staff were very helpful and offered me a room farther from the elevator on the second leg of my journey staying at Holiday Inn Guiyang Airport, and it was much quieter.

Close from the hotel (we took a cab from Terminal 1) and check in went smoothly. The hotel was very new and we managed to rest quite well! The hotel arranged a free shuttle from the hotel to terminal 2 which was very generous. Overall very enjoyable stay!

Initially we were concerned because the hotel wasn’t on google maps and we couldn’t find many reviews about the hotel. The hotel does exist!

Price and location

I broke one glass in the bathroom. The hotel charged me 30 Chinese dollars. This thin glass should be below 5 Chinese dollars. And they should use plastic cups in the bathroom.

clean hotel, large comfortable rooms with all the necessary amenities, the staff were really helpful, and it's a short walk across the street to the airport. perfect for what I needed.

The international airport is within a 10-minute walk from this brand new hotel. The beds were comfortable and the pillows were of good quality. Freshly brewed coffee available in free flow on group floor.

Front desk staff require more training. The two female personnel on night shift were polite, but offered no personalised service and neither of them made an effort to walk through the available facilities such as common areas with computer facilities and coffee machine. A hefty sum of deposit required - we were required to pay CNY800, including the room tariff, or CNY500 for a refundable deposit upon check-out (if confirmed no damages or extra cleaning are required). I had never come across a hotel that collected a deposit that was higher than the room rate for a night. The packed breakfast could be improved. Each paper contained a mandarin orange, a small tub of yogurt (one with straw the other without!), and a disposable container with mini baked products (muffin/doughnut/croissant) and a boiled egg in one of the bags. No serviette provided in both bags - something not expected of an international hotel chain!
