I have nothing but good things to say about my Stay at the Wang Jiang reclusive boutique Inn! The owner picked us up from the gate and helped us with all our luggage’s, insisted on carrying them for us up the stairs, and made us feel very warm and welcomed. Although we were only staying at this city for one night and arrived in the evening, the owner made sure that everything was accommodated to our needs and made our one nightt in the ancient phoenix city an unforgettable experience. My only regret is that we didn’t stay here for a few more nights. The owner prepared us fresh tea and snacks and fruits, and took the time and patience to brief us on the activities and about the city. From helping us book the local performance tickets, the boat tickets, to taking us to the tradition clothing place to rent dresses, he made sure that our night was truely special and that we could explore the beautiful city to its full potential. I would have been so lost without his help and our experience would not have been possible without his amazing hospitality and help. In terms of the accomodation itself, I was truely in awe. The location is at the heart of the ancient town, with the viewing bridge right at my doorstep. The balcony to my room had the perfect night view of the whole river and landscape, I truely have nothing but amazinggg things to say about the property itself. Once again, my stay at this property was incredible and and while experience was unforgettable and would not have been possible without the help of the staff at this inn. When my friend and I were running late to the boar ride on the river, the owner even drove all the way to where we were and waited for us to pick us up and drive us to the next location, as taxis in this city was not as accessible as we had thought. All in all, everything about the stay, the activities, the staff, the experience was perfect and would not have been possible without the help of the staff at this Inn.

The warm welcome at the train station followed by a warm friendly check-in. Everything about this little Inn was lovely. The location was perfect & we walked everywhere. Lovely little room & very clean & tidy. Thanks to Wechat translator we could communicate easily with our lovely hosts. They even drove us from Fenghaung to Yangshuo in Chinese New Year traffic due to us making an error with our train tickets. It took nearly 9 hours & then our host had to drive all the way back. We cannot thank them enough for this kind gesture. The dog was also very cute.

Beautiful place to stay in the Ancient Phoenix City. The location is excellent and the view from the balcony very nice. The room itself was very clean, with very nice wood furniture. Nice bathroom with fluffy towels. The owner was incredibly welcoming and polite even though we messed up the instructions to the meeting point (he met us at the nearby city gate and then we walked a bit to the hotel - keep in mind there are stairs involved). The offered tea was a nice way to relax after a tiring trip to the city. He also gave us a cool looking map and tips for activities and restaurants. By far the nicest hotel staff we interacted with. Overall we enjoyed our stay a lot and wish we had allocated more time to this city in our trip.

The mattress was a bit more firm than usual but still very comfortable.

We had a wonderful stay at the Wang Jiang Reclusive Boutique Inn Hotel. The hotel offers a beautiful and tranquil view from the balcony - perfect for enjoying your morning coffee or watching the sunset. The staff was incredibly service-oriented and helpful, going out of their way to assist us with booking everything we needed during our trip. We truly appreciated that the hotel is tucked away from the busiest tourist streets, giving it a peaceful and exclusive feel - yet still very close to everything.

We would have appreciated easier access to cold drinks, for example by having a fridge in the room or in the lobby. The staff are very friendly and always happy to help when asked, but it would be nice not to have to ask every time

Positioned in a quiet spot but close enough to hear and see the Ancient City. The owners were very pleasant and extremely helpful and supportive in making our one day stay practical and enjoyable. The rooms are quiet, clean with beautiful views, everything you need! We took the suggestions from the owner with regards to food and had delicious noodles for lunch, traditional Chinese for dinner and dumplings for breakfast. We had only one afternoon and the owner helped us with selecting must-see points in the old town and the night boat trip! Can recommend for travelers who like quiet clean rooms, with a home feeling while staying close to all the action!

We could have gotten fetched up at the railway station, if we would have read the text the landlord sent the day before. When we arrived he invited us for a welcome tee , cold water and snacks. Meanwhile he took out a map of the city and explained the sightseeing highlight and also where to get good food. He also has access to a really good travel package which includes the boat ride and 7 attractions for a lot less. Usually each of the attractions costs 40yuen each and the boatride at night for 128yuen. The package includes the ride and 7 of them for 148. All in all extraordinary hostility, super view on the stream, clean. A lot more than we expected for that trip.

As soon as we arrived at the property, Xiang greeted us and helped us with our luggage. He doesn’t speak any English and we don’t speak any Mandarin, but that was no problem for Xiang as he has a great system. The first thing he does is sit you down in the reception area, adds you WeChat and voice dictates messages to you through the app, which he then shows you how to enable automatic translations for, so it’s as though you’re having an everyday conversation. Brilliant! This was super handy to have set up for the rest of the time we were there too. He then took the time show us a huge map of the city and point out all the best things for tourists to see, as well as recommendations for good restaurants. He was so attentive the whole time we were there and was always very kind. He also gave us fresh bananas and other fruit every day! The room was great! We had a balcony with a view of the river, which was stunning! The room was clean with a comfortable bed, great air conditioning and a clean private bathroom. Everything here was great! We loved our stay! Thank you Xiang!

This is a beautiful unique property in the heart of Fenghuang with an incredible view overlooking the river. Rooms are clean and comfortable, the location is perfect for exploring this wonderful historic town on foot into the night which is a must with the incredible lights. I especially want to acknowledge our host, who was kind and patient, made excellent recommendations, assisted with boat tickets and restaurants locations to make our stay so memorable and enjoyable. Thank-you for everything! Highly recommend this inn.

The hosts were absolutely wonderful and made our stay truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly and given a refreshing welcome of fresh watermelon. The hosts even went the extra mile by meeting us on the road and carrying our bags up the stairs to our room. Throughout our stay, the hosts were incredibly attentive and responsive, always being available to reply to any messages or questions we had. Their thoughtfulness really shone through when they offered to escort us to the boat tour, allowing us to skip the long lines for the most popular nighttime activity. The hosts also provided excellent local recommendations, guiding us to some delicious restaurants that really made our dining experiences memorable. When my bag unexpectedly broke, the hosts kindly sewed it up and repaired it for me at no additional cost - such a kind and generous gesture. The room itself was incredibly comfortable and had an outstanding view. The entire hotel stay was truly fantastic, and I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone considering visiting this area. Thank you so much to the wonderful hosts for making our trip so special!

The host was down to earth and very helpful in every way. When we arrived he grabbed our luggage for us up the stairs and into the room all the way. Before we settled down in our rooms, he gave us snacks, fruits and even brewed some tea for us to drink. He also took his time showing us on the local map to do and not to do things around the town which was super helpful. Views straight out of the room balcony was superb too.

It wasn't a problem for us but for some people it may be bit too hard to climb the stairs to the accommodation if you have knee/back/leg issues.
