This is a high-quality hotel with the most spacious rooms you will find in any Holiday Inn in Europe. Its location is superb, with a nearby mall and the neighbourhood around the Qinhuai River within walking distance. Here, you can find river boats, restaurants, the Confucius Temple, museums and a very lively atmosphere. On 1 May, we were lucky enough to be the first to try out the newly renovated large breakfast room. It was lovely, and the breakfast was one of the hotel's strong points — varied, plentiful and fresh. The hotel was kind enough to let us check out late, which was very convenient for our onward journey. Kimi Jin, one of the staff members, was extremely helpful and patient, assisting us with things like visiting the Museum of the Anti-Japanese Resistance and finding off-the-radar restaurants.

The staff is fantastic! As first-time visitors to China, a helpful team of front-desk professionals is essential. They went above and beyond to ensure we were safe, had transportation, and taught us to use AliPay. They went above also made photo copies - which would otherwise have been a challenge. The location was great. We enjoyed the proximity to the Confucius Temple and many great street food options. The young lady at the lobby bar became a good friend and was very kind. The rooms were spacious and perfectly clean. Our trip was extended and we could not have picked a better place!

We stayed from Nov 13-19 2024. Hotel is located between 2 subway stations - Fuzimiao/ Confucius Temple on Line 3 about 250-300 m away from hotel & Sanshanjie on Line 1 about 400 m. Both lines connect to Nanjing Railway Station & South Railway Stations. If u walk from subway just watch out for EV motorbikes, crowd and uneven pavement. Hotel is located behind a shopping mall. U either go round the mall or cut through the Sony store. Not very prominent if walk on ground level. Hotel is clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast is quite good with wide spread although fruit juice is not fresh juice. Staff is hospitable and speaks English. There is a bilingual book on Nanjing food and attractions in the room. Vanity top in bathroom is adequate. The room has a weighing scale too 😁😁 Swimming pool is about 25 metres. The changing room is a bit rundown. Hotel is located near some attractions - Fuzimiao, Laodongmen, Grand Baoen Temple. Take Line 1 directly to Xingjiekou.

Centralized air con in winter so room a bit stuffy and hot. Temp was set at 24°C. So we asked for an air cooler. Not advisable to open windows due to insects.

I like the hospitality, comfort, and facilities provided during my stay. I would like to thank especially the CEO (Vincent) who was very kind, approachable, and professional. He helped to slot me in for a last minute Xmas Dinner which was very memorable banquet for a very affordable price. His hospitality was more than exception. I like to thank him and his staff for organising such a great XMAS banquet. Will definitely come back and bring my extended family and friends to stay in this hotel (10/10). Kudo to Vincent for doing such a great job. The organisation is very blessed Vincent as their team lead. He is down to earth, passionate with his work, and great personality. I wish I know this hotel chain earlier if this hotel is a typical standard the hotel chain is providing.

The location definitely sells it! It is right beside one of the nicest shopping malls in the city. Lots of restaurants around and near the river. You can just leave the hotel and walk around right away to enjoy an authentic Nanjing experience. The bedroom was quite comfortable and silent. Staff was amazingly helpful and tried their best to meet my expectations.

The only thing I did not like was the fact that I chose this particular hotel because it was supposed to have a fitness center where I could workout during my stay. However, by the time I got there, I was informed that the fitness center was being reformed and not available. Although this was disappointing, staff allowed me to have free breakfast next morning to compensate for it.

Location is centralised and near a tourist shopping district. Walking distance to two metro stations about 10 mins walk. Our daily morning breakfast were greeted by friendly staff who made my morning wonderful. The ambience of the restaurant and the breakfast buffet spread is superb - a combo of east and western menus. The hotel is located next to a shopping mall where you can find chain stores such as Uniqlo, New Balance etc and there is fast food chain at the basement of shopping mall. There is a heated swimming pool, spa and a sports gym at the 6th floor of the hotel.

I think the touchpoints at the hotel (concierge) and tourist spots can be further improved. Perhaps a tourist information counter can be located in the hotel where tourists can gather more information. More guidance should be given to first-time visitors to inform them where is the nearest metro station. However, would be too much of expectations for the hotel as the hotel has done its best. Perhaps there should be information tourist centre located in 夫子庙, just like in Singapore where we have tourist information centre located in various tourist spots where tourists can drop by to ask questions and seek advice.

Thank the front desk for providing us with free complementary beverages and water! Aqua city mall is right next to this Holiday Inn! Check in was very easy, simply pay with WeChat or credit card. My room was located on the 12th floor so everything was quiet up there) no pests from mosquitoes! Thank goodness.

Why I didn’t give a 9 or 10? Well 1st, my room door knob 1207 was broken(( it can’t even hang the DO NOT DISTURB or MAKE UP MY ROOM sign because the knob was so loose, it can even be a problem to open the door after scanning my card because you need to hold the door knob down again to open the door. Then the room itself wasn’t fully comfortable without turning on the AC! It was humid, wet, & stuffy in the room without AC. Then the washrooms faucet was located very awkwardly that it barely can land the water drops in the sink( toilet wasn’t fully cleaned when I moved in. Was very noisy outside but I can close the window.

Check in at Holiday Inn Aqua City was bit clumsy but staff quickly offered me complimentary breakfast which was a nice gesture. While Holiday Inn is part of American Hotel Group evidently this property has more local Chinese mainlander customer as not many staff from service center, waiters, breakfast chef, room services have the ability to speak/understand basic English. This itself isn't a poor experience overall, but my expectation was indeed higher given that I did choose to stay in an international hotel chain not a local China hotel group. Nevertheless, the staff was very polite, patience and dedicated to provide their upmost best quality of service during my stay at Aqua City, this includes helping me navigate the complexity of Chinese apps registration, how to get to tourist spots via metro or walking distance. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay, and I will not hesitate to return again in the future.

The swimming facilities was outsourced to a third-party provider and usage was complimentary to hotel guest. However, i was given a half-a swimming towel instead of a full towel. I thought that was hilarious but also a reflection on how just because your hotel facilitates is "outsourced" the quality of the delivery is still in my view a joint responsibility with Holiday Inn's to manage, supervise or co-exist as its co-branded together.

The location is very great. Very close to Fuzimao station metro line 3 and Sanshanjie station metro line 1. The metro line in Nanjing is very good and helps us to access to any interesting tourist places such as Dr Sun Yat Sen Mausoleum and Ming DynastyTomb in line 2 stop at Muxuyuan or xiamafang station; memorial hall of the victims in nanjing massacre in line 2 stop at yunjin lu station ; central business district in line 1or 2 stop at xinjiekou station; xuanwu lake in line 1 stop at xuanwumen station. The very famous Confucious/Fuzimiao temple night street is 10 minute walking distance from the hotel. In the street there are lots of restaurants offer special food like roast duck, beef noodle soup The receptionists were very helpful and could speak English. Special thanks to the man who helped us to check-in, upgraded our room to big suite room. We also thank to Yulia Lin who helped us to check-out and booked the taxi to Dr Sun Yat Sen Mausoleum. The Chinese and Western buffet breakfast was very good and there were so many variety of food. We really enjoyed staying at the hotel. We definitely will stay at this hotel again when we come to Nanjing.

the front desk services was good. initally we are given a room that the AC is not turn on for winter... but only with heating function.. is really too warm for us. they guided us to open the window for some ventilation. However, it allows the smoke fm the restaurants to slip in (hotel in connected to a mall) eventually they changed our room to a bigger unit that has more windows and different facing.

AC locked during winter! breakfast spread is just so so, still more to chinese crusine then international spread. room cleanliness is still beyond acceptance... dust behind the doorway is thick..
