This place is so worth the price. Very friendly staff, very comfortable beds, nice shower, great ground, pool, sauna and turco, great breakfast The only thing missing is a jacuzzi, but they said they're thinking of putting one in. We really enjoyed our time here secure parking, and very pet friendly.

Honestly, nothing, it was great, the only nitpick would be the lack of jacuzzi and it's hard to get a 2nd cup of coffee at breakfast, but I'm nitpicking here. Overall amazing.

Amazing character hotel located in a refurbished monastery, beside a large church. Short distance to central town plaza. Large inner courtyard with fountain and flowers. Outdoor swimming pool. Staff friendly and professional. Comfortable bed, and the bathroom facilities all worked. Restaurant not busy, but had a fine meal there. Breakfast buffet, including eggs to order in the morning. Several other restaurants within walking distance.

Minor issue in that the room carpets are starting to get very dated.

It is a beautiful and well maintained historic building, located in the heart of Popayan, close to restaurants, shops, churches, and museums. The rooms are properly decorated, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast is good.

There was a celebration just in front of our room. It was not possible to sleep due to the noise and heavy sound vibrations. It is advisable to avoid rooms close to the restaurant area. Staff did not recognize that we pay for breakfast and were unpolite when we asked for coffee.

This is an impressive-looking hotel which was a former 16th century monastery. I booked a standard twin room with 2 double beds and we ended up staying in the presidential suite! The room was big with a big window door to a huge shared balcony. The bathroom had a bath tub and all the necessary amenities. The hotel is on two floors and there is no lift (it was an old monastery and they did not have lifts in those days). However the staff were quick to carry our luggage up the stairs to our room. There is an on site restaurant in the inner court yard where we had cocktails and a light meal. The food was delicious and presented in a way befitting a five star hotel. There were fairy lights strung up and soft classical music playing, creating a very nice atmosphere. This hotel is good value for money and by far the best-looking in Popayan.

The room was quite dark. There are old-fashioned lamps that do not provide enough light. The breakfast was tasty, but a rather small variety for a five star hotel.

The rooms are themed in keeping with the property with authentic touches. The room had a big patio and nice view onto the terrace. Bed was comfortable. The bathroom was small but seems standard in most SA hotels We had lunch in the restaurant and breakfast both were very good. The restaurants cafes surrounding are a bit average. The old town is not that interesting or attractive in comparison to others we have visited but if you stopping here Hotel Dann is a good option. Great secure parking at the back

The patios were joined to neighbouring rooms with a low wall. Not very private and easy to access other rooms. The grounds and central courtyard could be improved with plants to add much more appeal to the property. The pool was milky and nit useable. My partner did enjoy the sauna.

Probably the best hotel in Popayan. Beautifully restored former monastery furnished with period details, lovely garden and courtyard, spacious and comfortable room, wonderful buffet breakfast (included in the price), great location.

Windows don't open, so to get some fresh air you need to open the French doors, which lead to a shared rooftop terrace.

I like this type of colonial architecture, and this monastery is beautiful 😍 and well maintained. Its antique furniture complements the colonial style of the place. The weather was a little cold for swimming, but I was able to enjoy the Turkish bath and sauna.

I have nothing bad to say about this place, I would only suggest a better Wi-Fi connection.

Breakfast was very good. We liked the great location in the historic building (ancient monastery) and in the midst of the old town of Popayán, where you can visit all touristic places by foot.

There is no car parking facility at the hotel front. The reception did not help us organising a private driver for a sight seeing tour, instead they gave us a leaflet of a travel agency.

Lovely room in a colonial monastery. Beautiful, quiet courtyard with fountain. Great breakfast on a lovely terrace and helpful staff on reception. Ideal location for city centre and easy walk to bus terminal and airport. Lots of restaurants nearby.. Also very late check out times! Would return here.

Very nice hotel, old monastery very impressionable

There was an eruption of a nearby volcano, warnings for the whole city regarding the ashes and going outside only wearing a mask and long sleeves. Nobody in the hotel warned me.
