We stayed in the little self catering apartment in a separate wooden building opposite the main house. It has one single & one double bed, a small but adequately equipped kitchen/dining area (we didn't use it anyway). The bedroom is spacious and the bed VERY comfortable. The weather was unusually hot for the time of year but the rooms stayed cool thanks to small windows and cool night time temperatures, although there's an air conditioning unit and a woodburning stove to cover all weather. The owners were really friendly & helpful & spent some time chatting with us as we explained we were looking at property in the area. The food was delicious, we had a mixed meat and cheese plate as a starter followed by a plate of mixed local fish grilled and fried. We couldn't eat it all! For the next night we pre-ordered lamb cooked in a traditional peka in the fire, this was also delicious and very large! The main building is also an old wooden house, very charming and full of rustic decorations, it also has a storks nest on the roof.
Insects! Not the fault of the property but the mosquitoes were annoying in the restaurant in the evening. It wouldn't put me off coming again but I'd definitely recommend bringing repellent!

I discovered Čigoć while looking for a place to stay one night between Sarajevo and Rijeka. First of all, the photos and comments were effective in my choosing the facility. When we went, I realized what a right decision we made. The town is very peaceful. The facility is great. I chose the cottage in the garden for accommodation. It was beautiful. Storks are on every roof, in the garden, everywhere… We had a dinner at a very affordable price. The included breakfast was very nice. And the staff were very helpful… I definitely recommend it to those who want to have a different experience in touch with nature in Croatia.

The location was very picturesque and peaceful. The food was very tasty, and we particularly enjoyed the Fis Paprikas. The staff and service were excellent throughout our 2 day stay. The small detached apartment we stayed at was very basic inside, although very picturesque from the outside. I enjoyed sitting on the terrace watching the family of storks on the roof.
We wanted to book a nearby boat ride but was told this was only available at the weekends, so we missed out on this. We decided to go for a nature walk instead.

Locarion was "out in the wild" in a pozitive way.. right nexr to the Sava river in an area filled with storks. The rooms are very rustic looking on the outside but nicely transformed on the inside to include modern needs: AC, wc,hot water, etc. There was a restaurant there and we had dinner even if we arrived quite late in the evening and breakfast was GREAT! Parki g place o site Place for kids to play an run around.
lots of insects ..if you wanted ro stay outside for a drink...but that is normal when tge house is next ro a river :)

This is such a special place. The building is incredible and we enjoyed looking through their book of photos showing the reconstruction from start to finish. The staff were very friendly and we enjoyed our dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. Our room was adorable with wonderful old furniture. The homes in the surrounding area are fascinating and we enjoyed exploring the nature trails. The highlight for us was visiting the family of Zlatko Sucic for the love and effort they invested in preserving the cultural heritage of more than 700 exhibits. The house and museum is #34 heading southeast from here.

The project the family did is just amazing, putting into value an old traditional house. And the house itself has so much character! The breakfast was amazing, they did their best to put on our table local products, thumbs up for that. People are nice and welcoming. Price is unbeatable.
Everything was nice, really. If you want some improvement, maybe the shower needs to be renewed, at least the one from the small house. But really, for the price we couldn't ask more.

A lovely, well appointed place in the middle of nature in which to get aquainted with the local storks and to rest up after a day touring on the motorcycle. The very friendly staff made you feel very welcome. The restaurant was very good and the breakfast was exceptional. The apartment was cosy and had everything we needed.
Nothing.

Very traditional feel with modern facilities. Good location at the entrance to Lonjsko Polje so you can finish a day's trip at the other end (Jasenovac). Food is good and reasonably priced. Local wine is pleasant and also reasonably priced. Great breakfast with lots of local fruit and home produced jam, meats etc. Staff are lovely.
All good

The location was beautiful - I wish we could be there in stork season. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and large serves. The host is very kind and accommodating. Only 2 stairs are required if you stay in the bungalow. The accommodation is very authentic.

It is off the beaten path and well worth the drive. We were delighted to see a part of the country, with its rural beauty, huge stork nests and wooden houses. The owners are very accommodating. Dinner and breakfast were delicious - lots of homemade dishes.
