Extremely friendly staff, great location, lovely other local guests. We are vegetarian and could find many options during breakfast and dinner unlike other reviews I have read here. Eating vegan is also possible in my eyes. The rooms with balcony overlook the forest and you can see the Großer Arber. You might get lucky with very misty weather as it's on a saddle. For evening drinks we went to the upper OREA Resort (800m away). We will definitely come back as we love the Czech mentality (quiet and humble) and the whole area is much less crowded than the German side.

Good location, tasty food and friendly staff.

Drinks during dinner (including water, juices and non alcohol) are not free, however exactly same drinks at the breakfast are fully free. Not clear why it is called half pension then. Between breakfast and dinner there is not possible to buy any drink or snacks. The rooms with huge windows are very cold, the heater power was not enough to warm the room.

All the staff, from reception to the girls in the restaurant are very polite. I asked them to give my wife a little surprise and they did a great job. The room was warm and clean (we had the deluxe quadruple room). The food deserves special mention. Every day there was delicious and varied food. For dinner, you can order drinks, including tank beer, wine, juices and water. The hotel is in a convenient location for walking, skiing and sledding. There is also a good and large parking lot. Some might say that the furniture looks outdated in places, but guys, for this price (in our case, we ordered in advance and it was inexpensive) you get such great service. The girls who work there automatically add a few points to this hotel.

The bed was too soft in my opinion (some people like soft beds, but I prefer hard ones).

Nothing to complain

I did like the food in the Restaurant for brekfast and dinner very much. I liked the staff, very friendly and helpfull. I liked that pets were allowed and I liked the location very much.

I didnt like that the hotel is not divided to a secrio - quiet, families, single people… Some quest were very disturbing. I didnt like that the adults were playing table tennis in the kids playing room. I didnt like that the opening hour for lobby bar was so late - 17.30..same time as a dinner.

Location is good if you are traveling by car. Zelezna ruda and all the ski lines are 3-7 km away. If you want to sledge on snow, search for one of the ski lines which are not used that day. Breakfast and dinner were ok, but do not expect anything extra - just ok.

Room was ok, but there were some small things bothering us, like a hole in the toilette where you can see the pipes or not very comfy pillows. Drinks for dinner need to be paid. Lady on the reception does not talk english or german, although ca half of the guests are coming outside Czech Republic. On check in we dis jot find anyone on reception, we had to wait 40 minutes someone to show up. Hotel itself would need a renovation.

The location is excellent for hiking in the area. Our room was facing the woods without the terrace but it was what we ordered. the room was big and comfortable. The breakfast is standard, it is OK, nothing special. The hotel has a restaurant for dinner and it is very convenient after a day of hiking. There is a free parking

We stop only for 3 days and didn't see everything around, we will come back again, definitely....and hopefully we will get more snow.
