The property was very good and new. I was welcomed by Enzo at 3am and he made sure we could check-in quickly and kids can get to the rooms. It was awesome.

There was a driver called “Kathrin” she on multiple times targeted me being a foreigner. When I had approval on departure to take some bakery from the hotel staff she just came from the back and shouted at me; the kids can not take anything etc…. I even explained her nicely but she claimed it was her to decide and when I reached out to the hotel reception they apologised and confirmed she was only a driver. This person should be removed as when my car was parked outside for loading she again attacked me out of all other cars and shouted I should move my car. Also when I was leaving she again attacked by making funny face and provoking me. We always stayed calm and professional. I was shocked to see that.

Leonardo Royal Hotel Cologne Bonn Airport is obvious from name that it is located near Airport. If you are on a road trip it's 15 kms out of cologne city or if you are staying close to Airport it's best option but if you want to go to downtown twice thrice by taxi uber you have to bear hefty cost & waste extra time to & from main city plus you won't find any nearby food or shopping outlet as it is in off skirts of Cologne city near to airport. We were travelling by car on a road trip and there is free car parking outside hotel so it's a good option for us. There is an adjoining paid parking platz as well but we parked free on road parking in front of Leonardo Royal hotel. The hotel is plush clean I would rate 4 5 star and offer welcoming drink and fruits at entrance. There is a lobby well decorated and a bar who kept our frozen medicine pack. Thanks to them. The room was spacious with ccomfortable beds, coffee maker, fridge, working desk, electric iron and ironing board etc. Wash room was well appointed clean with walk-in shower. Our overall experience was great. I loved this hotel...

Cleanliness, spacious rooms, accommodating staff & free parking

Firstly, we loved that the hotel offers 24/7 shuttle service to the airport. Although the location was a bit far from the city center, we were able to easily access the metro at the airport and travel from there. We chose this hotel because we had a 2-day trip and an early flight, and we're so glad we did. Our room was warm and spacious. The fact that there was soda and coffee in the room was a nice touch, and the orange water at the hotel entrance was a thoughtful and polite detail. We would also like to thank Ms. Vidad, who greeted us at the reception. She was very kind and extremely helpful. When I called the reception to ask about getting to the hotel early in the morning from the airport, she was very helpful. Additionally, thanks to her suggestions, we had a very enjoyable, varied, and lovely breakfast. We were also satisfied with the variety of the hotel’s buffet breakfast. In short, if we find ourselves in Cologne again, we would definitely choose to stay here.

The location is far from the center but tolerable

The room itself is really nice and modern and quite spacious - maybe for a one person. I liked how the you can control blinds, had good AC/Fan, good natural light and the smart TV was great (you can cast from phone/laptop and has an accessible hdmi port. Shower was great too.

The beds were mediocre but the pillows for me wasnt nice, i didnt get a good nice sleep due to it at all. Also the cleanes.. made the room cleaned and presentable everyday however, they didnt change the sheets or did they take trash out that wasnt in the bin (i had food boxes that could not fit in the bin so i had it by it, and when I came in from being out all day, the room looked cleaned but the boxes was still there). And the one thing that out me off is that they didn't change the bed sheets at all. Location - given that it was by the airport.. it was literally in the middle of nowhere, i think it was a 15/20 min walk to the nearest shops which felt longer in the heat.

The hotel is conveniently located very close to the airport and offers great value for the price. Parking is easy, with spots available right in front of the hotel as well as in a secured parking area. The rooms are spacious, modern, and well-equipped. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant, the food was tasty, and the atmosphere was pleasant.

While the blanket was clearly clean/washed, one of the beds had quite a lot of hair on it, which was unpleasant. The dinner menu offered limited food options, and not all the staff at the restaurant spoke English, which made communication a bit difficult.

The location was kinda far away from the city so if you want to go to the airport next day it is a good idea to stay there but for discovering the city not really close by. Also sometimes you had to wait for them to renew the food to be able to take what you wanna eat.. And it was taking a long time :( We were waiting the shuttle in the airport and the lady told us to wait somewhere different so we were waiting there and the driver was looking for us in another side and unfortunately we had to wait outside and it was freezing. They should improve their communications..

Clean and good facilities

Shuttle service to/ from the airport was problematic both ways. Firstly on arrival at the airport I struggled to contact the hotel reception to arrange for pick up (directed to a call centre with long waiting time and no English translation!). Booking info did not give direct contact number for Hotel Reception, which is essential. For return journey, even though shuttle was reserved there were too few vehicles to cope with demand and we waited over 35 minutes after our booked time for the shuttle vehicle to return (it did not!). Finally the frustrated receptionist had to arrange alternative transport.

Beautiful, clean, spacious and modern rooms. Fantastic location for cologne airport.

Location, although super close to the airport is in a building site with rubble for roads and opposite a temporary housing complex for homeless/migrants. Parking should be free for hotel guests!

Delighted with our stay. We only had a fleeting visit to cologne, staying just over 24hours, so it made sense to stay near the airport ready for our flight home in the morning. The hotel reception/ lounge was appealing, in a stylish colourful, modern design. The staff were very professional, polite and friendly. The airport shuttle service is amazingly efficient and generous . We got taken to the airport or train station for the city. We had two adjacent family rooms, for our family of six. Each were well equipped, modern and clean. The girls said it was the nicest hotel they have stayed in. Would definitely stay again, if we were to return. Thank you
