Great location and setting , the building was a former school and has had some extensive renovation work done, which all adds to the comfort and relaxing atmosphere. Location is a 10/15 minute drive to the nearest supermarket , set in the countyside so very quiet and peaceful. Very clean , tidy and all looked fantastic , the big bedroom , comfortable beds, chairs in the room were handy addition too. Great little kitchen with fridge and 2 hobs , all equipment you could need .. Not far from local beaches , and areas of outstanding beauty , a good base to go exploring the area The host coiple are amzaing , very welcoming , engaging , and generous , inviting me to eat with them and football watching ...gave me good tips on local places to visit and their jack russel dog sandy was fun. i spent 3 nights there and made use of the kitchen and was very comfortable as it was quiet and very peacful inside and outside , all adding to a fantastic stay and somewhere i would love to go back too .. Thankyou for a wonderful stay

nothing at all to dislike

What did we like? EVERYTHING! Literally and honestly! Before this one we were never choosing places with shared bathroom, I had something against it. But now I have to admit that I have to change my mind. Kirsten and Ole did everything to proof me it can be way better you expect. After round trip in Scandinavia, having all previous places with private facilities, we can say Den gamle Skole was our spaciest cleaniest room with best equiped bath and kitchen. And the best host-family! Comfortable huge beds with shiny-white linen. Spotless! To my mind, pictures give more simple look than the reality. Chique place, made with love to the house itself, with good pre-thinking of the client needs and comfort, with attention to smallest details. Location is exellent too. A day walk through old streets and surrounding of Ribe with drive-in sunset in Rømø placed a final point to our trip and together with the accommodation gave us sweetest aftertaste to our vacations! Great thanks for great job you did and still do to make this place so lovely!

Really sweet and helpful couple who runs that. We went with our dog and she got looots of love :) beautiful rooms and really clean. We're definitely coming back!!

Great friendly owner couple warmly welcoming us even though we arrived late in the evening. Amazing apartment style room with seperate seating space and eating space that allows for light cooking. Clean bathroom with heated floor so no cold feet :) Very complete room including welcoming drink, coffee, tea etc. and the details and decorations show that the owners love to welcome guests. Totally recommended!

Nothing to dislike.

We had a wonderful stay, we were upgraded due to availability to the nicest room in the venue. Ole and Kirsten have been superkind and helpful.

We really enjoyed staying here! Very clean and comfortable! Nicely decorated, even with a fresh flower in the room. Great welcome, even though we came pretty late. We can totally recommend this place!
