This older hotel is a hidden gem- for the price we got a large room with a view of the park- very quiet inside and out- within walking distance of the old historical townsite- nice walk down to the water - 176 steps each way!! The staff were very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately the sauna is only open on the weekend so it was not available during our stay. However, the staff were very kind to give us a tour of the sauna area- super clean and very nice- steam room, hot pool, dry sauna- The breakfast was to die for- presented very tastefully- so much to choose from. Highly recommend this hotel

It was all good- room was warm at night but had a fan which helped in cool down. Shower was spacious with great pressure. Beds very comfortable

Don't look at the external facade of the hotel because this place inside is far better that you expect! It is a great hotel and I was positively surprised with the high standard that I found there. It is clean, rooms are big, furniture if decent, staff is extremely helpful and nice. Breakfasts are big, attractive and tasty (great coffee). Parking place is free outside the hotel. Strong WiFi, clean interior - we had two rooms with doors between them so it was perfect to check what kids were doing. I will definitely book this hotel next time I am there.

External look of the hotel (which in fact is meaningless).

It's a brilliant hotel, from the spacious and elegant entrance to the well appointed and decorated bedroom, it was all a bit of a surprise how lovely the hotel is. The room was very clean and decorated to a high standard with a spacious bathroom. The breakfast was very good, buffet style but hot and nicely cooked with lots of variety.

Just one thing, the beds are particularly soft.

Central location with free parking in front. Good size room. Comfy beds and decent quality pillows and linen. Good value for money (at least in December'24). Breakfast was also above average, even free cava.

The main problem was that the noise from the next door room (via ventilation) was really loud, we could hear clearly the talking and water running etc.

ALL employees were very friendly and most helpful. Laura receives extra recognition because she found a bed with a much harder mattress that fits my sleeping requirements much better. BREAKFAST was buffet style. I enjoyed the large variety of everything offered, except for the fried eggs. I had seconds of the dark bread, cheese, ham, salmon, pineapple, dried cranberries and cake :-P TV reception was from several different countries, which makes it easy to be entertained and to keep up with world affairs.

For me, as a heavy person, the mattresses are too soft. Especially the single mattress in Room 320! If you are a large / heavy individual, at the moment of this writing (May 31st, 2023), Room 320 is definitely not for you! Your kids and grandkids would hit the ceiling jumping up and down from that bed ;-) That's how bouncy it was in room 320 :-D

Basically we loved everything there and we were surprised by that...very nice professional and smiling service at the reception...cosy room and superb breakfast...something that you can't find in more luxurious hotel every time.....so we couldn't be more happy and we are planning already to be back soon...

Nothing....everything was almost perfect...

The location of the hotel was perfect, right in the center and very close to the lake and Lossimäed. The room was lovely and well appointed with a comfy bed. The reception staff was friendly and helpful. Gravlax and freshly baked croissants at breakfast were very much appreciated.

The room had a really bad smell upon arrival, especially in the bathroom, but it somewhat disappeared later at night. The breakfast room only had a single coffee machine which broke down half way through breakfast. We were advised to get our coffee from the Reception but it took awhile as the poor lady working at the Reception had to prepare coffee while also attending the desk and checking out clients.

The hotel is in the city center. Most of the attractions are within walking distance. The hotel has its own private parking but also there is a free public parking lot right in front of the hotel entrance. We enjoyed the breakfast there. It hadn't super wide choice of meals but everything we tried was tasty and fresh.

Unfortunately, the SPA zone works only from 8 to 10 a.m. which is a small period of time and also clashes with breakfast time. But on the other hand, we didn't even know that it has SPA so we weren't so sad about that.

The rooms are dignified and comfortable. The location is excellent. Free parking in front of the hotel.

The room has few wall outlets for charging electronics and they are in awkward places. The breakfast selection is rich, but there is no point in expecting a special taste experience. The coffee was unexpectedly poor. You can leave it alone and look for a nearby cafe.

Staff at reception were friendly and helpful, and all spoke excellent English. I booked a single room but it was spacious, with a comfortable bed, lots of wardrobe space and an opening window. Loved the bathroom - big shower with ample hot water and good water pressure, and plenty of counter space for toiletries. Shampoo/body wash, conditioner, soap and a shower cap were supplied. There was also a TV and mini bar but I didn't use either. The area was quiet and the hotel close to a bus stop to/from the train station. The coach station and shopping centre was only 15 minutes walk also, and many sights and restaurants/cafes easily reached on foot. As a solo female traveller who went out to an evening event while in town and returned late on foot, I found both the hotel and the area in general felt very safe. The inclusive breakfast buffet was extremely good and had plenty of choice.

The only minor thing i could mention is that being able to make hot drinks in the room would have been nice.
