Great location - in the middle of the (old) town centre overlooking nice park (assuming you took the room with a view!). Quite small establishment with not so many rooms ensuring good privacy. Really clean and well-maintained somewhat unique interior. Decent bed and pillow choice ensured good night sleep (can be subjective). Breakfast was of a good quality (really enjoyed their scrambled eggs) and coffee, but generally with limited options.
Issues with water pressure - it was fluctuating a lot - not sure how much the hotel can do about it. Relatively poorly lit bathroom (can be an issue of that particular room) surprised me. Maybe due to smallness of the hotel, the choices at the breakfast were rather limited. Also do not expect additional services and amenities at the hotel - yes, it has a restaurant and a conferencing room, but that is pretty much it. Odd-looking reception area for my personal liking - expecting more coziness.

One of the main assets of this hotel are the *staff*. They were consistently polite, helpful and caring. I would like to acknowledge in particular Kersti and Edmond at Reception and Gedy-Ly in the restaurant for their sterling service. Upon arrival I was given a room upgrade, and it was very clean, comfortable and quiet, with a splendid view of the magnificent evergreen trees just outside. The breakfast was very good indeed. I liked everything, particularly the scrambled eggs, bacon, croissants and jam.
There was very little that could have been improved. Perhaps the flow of hot water in the shower could be improved as it occasionally goes a bit cool, but that is a minor consideration.

The hotel is beautiful, set inside an amazingly restored building (with an interesting story behind it), right in the old centre square of the village. The room itself (although very small) was clean, the bed was big and comfortable, and the bathroom (also small) was very modern and the shower was very good. I really liked the fact that there was a mini-fridge, not all hotels have them, and they are very useful in summer. The staff were very attentative and kind, and the breakfast was extremely good, the first day, as there were not many people staying at the hotel, the breakfast was choices from a set menu, the second day, there were more people, and there was a buffet, both days the food was delicious with lots of variety. The location of the hotel is perfect, a 10 min walk from the lake, and a 5min walk from the main areas of the village.
The only thing I can complain about (and the reason I didn´t give the hotel a 10) is the size of the room, it was very small, we had little space for our luggage and no wardrobe to put our clothes in, there was only a clothes rail on the wall to hang a few things, and there wasn´t enough space to have a bedside table on both sides of the bed, only on one side.

It was a lovely hotel- fascinating the way that the old building was incorporated into the new hotel structure. The breakfast buffet was substantial and delicious. The bedding was very nice. I needed an iron to attend to some of my wrinkled travel clothes- I put in a request before breakfast and the iron and ironing board were in our room upon our return.
As we were on the fourth floor, the ceiling of the room was sloped and my husband hit his head several times getting out of bed....not a huge problem and owing to the architecture of the building, this couldn't be helped, I suppose.

The hotel has been cleverly created within a historic building. The design is attractive & the rooms well furnished. We appreciated the staff moving us to a superior room with windows that could be opened.
Our room was very hot & the a/c is set at 22-23 degrees for the whole building. It was too hot for our comfort & the windows could not be opened. The staff upgraded us to a room that was cooler & with windows that opened. Although the hotel description says it has a restaurant, it does not reveal that the restaurant is not open on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday nights. Thus, we had to go out for dinner.

Luxurious! From automatic front doors opening, to the superior and extremely soft bed, pillows and duvets, you will feel very special staying here. My room overlooked one of the city squares and gardens. Very quiet. The historic building has been restored to its former glory. The lovely staff available 24/7 will go out of their way to serve you. The buffet breakfast is beautifully presented and has an excellent variety. I wish to highly recommend you stay at the Park Hotel Viljandi, I hope you love it as much as I did. 10 out of 10.

Clean and cozy hotel in old town of Viljandi, walking distance to cafe's, museum's, sights, second hands etc. Good breakfast in lovely setting, friendly staff. Interesting history of the building. Very clean bathroom - super! Aircon worked very fine.
Bedroom floor had some stains on it. Not a problem but good to know - current room had no openable windows, there's a glass wall/window towards inyard gallery, so no opportunity to open a window for fresh air. However it was 1 night and didn't bother us too much. If I'd stay again, would choose park/street looking window view, as I like to open window for fresh air.

The hotel has been freshly renovated, the room and the premises are immaculately clean. The consierge was very welcoming and allowed us to put the bags in the storage for free before the check-in. The location is superb - very easy to reach all the landmarks of beautiful Viljandi. The breakfast is European, quite tasty (eggs, bacon, sausages, beans etc)
These points did not really affect the quality of our stay - just mentioning as a potential room for improvement: there was no hair conditioner in the bathroom, also I was a bit disappointed with the breakfast: there was no olive oil to put on the veggies (I asked the lady behind the bar, she called someone, yet no result), no black tea (only three kinds of green tea in tea bags), no vegan/lactose free milk, and kiwis were served unpeeled so I spend some time peeling them with the regular cutlery :D

Location, cleanliness, historical setting
I arrived at 13:30, the room was available if I pay €15.00, otherwise I had to wait till 15:00. I notice this average attitude, in reality Park Hotel Viljandi pursues to be quite average in its dealings with the customers. I wish the hotel can stand up as something different not as greedy That is all.

The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great, The side of the room was a bit low, and one could hit their head, I understand it's a quiet town however the restaurant closes early which could potentially generate more income
open the restaurant a bit later
