One of the most beautiful surroundings in Finland with a lot of history of national importance (Ahlström industrial family). Many guided tours and museum facilities on the premises. Friendly staff. The breakfast and lunch were good. The AC worked marvels on a hot summer day.

We weren’t told that the building we were staying in had a kitchen — we would’ve used the fridge (the room didn’t have one). Also pay attention that lunch on Saturdays in summer time is very expensive — we arrived on a Saturday and the staff asked if we wanted to lunch. We did, but weren’t told the price, and afterwards it was 44 euros per person for a lunch buffet (although a very high quality one at least for the food, drinks just water and coffee)

We were a group of 16 extended family members here for a two-night stay. The staff responded quickly to email questions while planning and helped to ensure the most comfortable room assignments and situation for our group. Being in a house filled with Alvar Aalto furnishings was a bonus! Exploring the beautiful and peaceful grounds by bike (free bike rental) was the highlight of our stay.

The area is very exceptional, an interesting historical site, very well maintained. We had a very quick visit but we enjoyed it although it was raining. There is much to see, lovely old wooden buildings, Makkarakoski rapids, you can take the tours to learn more of the area, etc. The staff is very friendly, breakfast is plenty (very good oat porridge and exquisite strawberry-rhubarb jam!), room has airconditioning and there was even a shared kitchen upstairs (we were in Sahala building). The added bonus is that you can recharge your electric car for free! This is going to be our regular place to stay when we are heading to Pori or the area in vicinity. It is only 10mins by car from Pori.

Nothing to complain really

Nice cabin with sauna (Liiteri) and peaceful surroundings. Breakfast had good quality items except the juices. Maybe some more varieties of food would be even better.

Almost nothing to complain, but the "exit" sign inside the Liiteri was lit up so bright that it created some problems with sleeping. Would be better without so bright backlight.

Ahlströmin Ruukki is charming blend of historic and modern amenities. You feel you've stepped back in while still all the of today. Plus, the beautiful surroundings and peaceful atmosphere make it perfect place to unwind and relax.
