The staff was great and the location was perfect. People complain about the noise when staying closer to the pier but that is not a problem here. One can walk to the pier and other locations near the beach in less than 10 minutes. It is also convenient to have the small cafe on the property offering Starbuck's coffee and assorted lunch and breakfast items. It is also a secure location. Another advantage is having a Trader Joes and a Target a mere half block away.

I found the bed to be most uncomfortable as it was much too soft for my liking.

Very good location with only a short walk to the beach and great shopping/restaurants just around the corner. The metro E line end station is across the street. However the metro system in general is quite slow and not at par with that in many other big cities. The room was big and bathrooms very nice. Comfortable beds. Good housekeeping. A small cafe in the lobby where you can buy light breakfast. Nice poolarea and gym. Would warmly recommend this hotel and Santa Monica in general for families visiting LA. The hotel is quite new so very fresh overall!

Well the housing problem of LA with homelessness is also visible around the hotel. Unfortunately not something to avoid in this city. We did feel safe all the time.

I was pleasantly surprised- location (close to the Santa Monica Pier and 3rd street promenade and shopping centre), kind staff, great service, no hidden charges or fees, amenities, all the comfort and quality you could expect from Marriott. I was a bit hesitant to choose this hotel at first because it is so close to the metro E line station, but I enjoyed a cozy room and complete silence. I recommend this hotel especially for longer stays.

Great location in 5 min walking distance to the Santa Monica pier. On top metro station E right in front for easy rides into town. We also like our spacious room on top floor with balcony.

I wish the hotel would have a proper breakfast area and breakfast included in the rates. Instead it is more of a little „mini Starbucks“ corner on ground floor. Food there was good though but pricey.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Even with the loud protesting going on outside the staff managed to be very welcoming and had smiles on their faces.

New hotel a short walk from the main sights in Santa Monica and opposite the light rail station to the rest of Los Angeles; very friendly and helpful staff. Pleasant rooms.

Car parking is at the top end of the expensive scale; no microwave in the room; car park entrance is in 5th street not Colorado avenue, as per the address which confuses SatNavs!

I would come for the mattresses. I want to know what kind you use. Soooo comfortable! The pool was really heated! Very nice! Everything was very clean. You were right near some great restaurants.

The neighbor hood was a little iffy.

Staff was professional and very helpful. Front receptionist provided an early check-in due to my early airline arrival. She was amazingly helpful and informed me of placed to eat that were easily within walking distance. Her mom that worked in the food area was very pleasant, communicated and fun to chat with. This is the sorta customer service that I wish was typical, however with all the travel that I do, it is welcoming to stay at a place where customer service is still "a-thing".

Everything was great, There was nothing I didn't like about the place. Room had more than sufficient space and the staff/room service was polite and friendly.

The staffs are very nice, welcoming and friendly. The location is also good, near to groceries, cafe, shops, and transit. Their amenities are available and clean. The room is clean and fragrant. I hope they have microwave in each level of it is not possible to have it in every room

The staff were all amazing but front desk staff Varlie and Jordan definitely went above and beyond making us feel extremely welcome!

The bed in our room was very uncomfortable!
