We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this charming chateau, nestled in a stunning landscape. The very accommodating owner and his wife warmly welcomed us and provided excellent tips about the Cantal region, including a fantastic restaurant recommendation that perfectly suited our tastes. The presence of the friendly pets, a cat and two happy donkeys on the nearby park meadow, added a delightful touch to our experience. We highly recommend this place for a memorable and relaxing getaway!

Our only regret was not having more time to stay and communicate fluently (in French) with the owner to discover even more excellent regional places.

Beautiful authentic little chateau in a rural setting surprisingly close to Aurillac which is a very large town. Country walks nearby. Very welcoming hosts. Comfortable bed, large bedroom with chairs and table, and well appointed bathroom.

No complaints at all, but a few things for other travellers to be aware of. Sheet and blanket was a surprise (instead of duvet) but not a problem for us. No TV in room (again not a problem for us). Beware of Google maps! It took us miles up (wrong) tiny roads. Eventually we used the TomTom in the hire car which got us there with no problem 😅. This is a Chambre d’Hote, not a hotel as such, so expect a genuine authentic experience and a communal breakfast in a historic private home.

Great hosts and breakfast with only local produces. The castle is also a wonderful place to stay, full of interesting memorabilia. Finally, we were very happy with our family suite, it had everything you needed for a good night sleep but also space for us all. Highly recommend!

Lovely character property. Well situated - 15/20 minute walk to Aurillac centre. Excellent parking and great recommendation from host Eric for dining.

Limited choice at breakfast if you don’t eat meat and cheese. Would like to see more fruit options.

It was a privilege to stay in such a beautifully kept old chateau. Our host made us very welcome. It was a joy to stay in such a large room/suite too. The WiFi was good, always a plus. Breakfast was taken in a beautiful dining room, and of good quality.

This is a wonderfully-maintained historic home in the hills near to the center of Aurillac. Our host was extremely cordial and welcoming and the grounds were terrific. Plenty of parking. Excellent breakfast. Beautiful house. Five-minute drive to old town.

Up a steep climb from town - good exercise after dinner, I guess! Bathroom supplies minimal on day 1. Fixed on request.

The rooms were roomy and private for the 3 people in our group. Breakfast was pretty nice and we had a nice time talking to other guests while enjoying our food. The owner was friendly and helped us with keeping some items in the freezer overnight.

It was very hot that day. The owner had kept the bedroom windows and shutters closed before our arrival so the rooms wouldn't be too hot. We opened the windows and shutters at night to cool off a bit but the addition of a fan would have helped in one of the bedrooms as the windows are small and didn't offer much of a breeze. It's our mistake as we didn't ask, as the owner might have been able to provide one for the night. Since we only spent one night, it wasn't a big deal.

The host/owner was amazing, he got up super early to fix us breakfast as we had to leave early for a long bike ride. He was so nice and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.

The chateau is lovely, and the owners likewise. Breakfast was included and very good, and advantageous for us as we were travelling onwards on a Sunday. The owners were so friendly and hospitable. The location was good to enter the town and find restaurants. Parking was easy.
