This is our preferred property in Bandol. The view has to be one of the best. We loved sitting out on our balcony and looking over to the boats in the port and the sea and beaches. It's so close to bars and restaurants and one minute's walk to the beach. The hotel's Terrace has beautiful garden furniture, making it easy to unwind. either in or out of the sun.

The only issue we had was that we didn't have a cork screw in the kitchen drawer but a very kind receptionist was able to supply us with one pretty quickly

Ideally situated for the sailing club the reason for our visit. Very warm welcome although no English spoken - google translate worked well! Spotlessly clean and washing machine and drier were welcomed. Adequately equipped and an abundance of clean towels available. Superb view from our balcony well worth the extra cost

Not that we didn’t like anything but it is just a bit ‘tired’ needs a lick of paint, a wardrobe door fixing

We loved this quirky hotel because of its wonderful history, linked to the literary scene of the 1920's. Our room had splendid views of the Med and the Port. The Terrace was an area in which we could relax at all times of day as it was shaded, calm and afforded beautiful views. It's on a couple mins walk to the nearest cafe and the beach is 1 minute from the rear exit.

It was a shame that there was no bar or restaurant. We couldn't find a cork screw or chopping board but these things did not spoil our enjoyment one little bit! The room wasn't cleaned in the 5 days we were there but this added to the quirkiness.

Fantastic location, great views from our room with balcony and sea views. We loved the relaxed unpretentious charm of the place. The hotel has an interesting history and we liked the 1970s decor and features. Renecros Beach is only across the road and the back door is kept open for easy access to and from the beach. The parking onsite is very handy, especially in high season. A kitchenette in the room made our stay easier as we were travelling with our kids.

No cleaning services, we would have liked a change of towels and extra bin bags. The interior is a bit worn and there is no air conditioning although there was a ceiling fan and a freestanding fan in the room.

Location

Difficult to check in. The hotel is very secure. We could not get into the hotel grounds let alone reception …. We had to get in by waiting for a car to enter the car park! When we got there … 2pm check in time - there were no reception staff … a phone number to call … that only worked for a French phone.

Perfect location . Two-minute walk to the best swimmable beach;4-5 minute walk to the main street with restaurants. My room was quiet.Comfortable bed.Strong wifi signal. The staff were pleasant.

It's an older property but has charm. My room wasn't cleaned once in my 9-days there but it may have been due to miscommunication. Wasn't a problem.

Perfect location, at the quiet side of the village with splendid view on the port, sea and Bendor island, Walking distance from downtown. Large studios with all the required equipment (kitchen, bathroom) Has a nostalgic feeling to it. Not high end luxury, but good value for money

Close to the beach. Walking distance to the famous and sandy Renecros beach (2-minute walk via the stairs).

No air conditioning units in the room. Only a ceiling fan. Management could invest in window a/c units for hot and humid nights. But parking availability is a plus and offsets the lack of air conditioning.

Excellent location with stunning views of the bay and Bandol- room and facilities were more than adequate

Cabinet door missing on fridge/getting in to the property was a little fractious as our French was limited and little English was spoken by our receptionist- but apart from that we would definitely stay here again

Beautiful old hotel in a beautiful position. Staff could not have been more pleasant. Lovely view over the harbour.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable but a little tired. The noise from the terrace travelled to our room. Was hoping to have breakfast on the terrace but had to go to a cafe down the road a little.
