It should be 5 stars, not 4. Generally, the hotel exceeded my expectations! The room was spacious and clean, with a beautiful design and very cozy. All the hotel is located in a historic building with some preserved details of the past. It's a beautiful place with all its courtyards and a garden. It is truly one of the most beautiful and special luxury hotels and is very affordable. Located straight in the city center but in a quiet corner. The breakfast was tasty, and with a focus on local products, which was great.

Maybe more light in the room and the main switch to turn on/off all the lights in the room at once.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel, located in the center of old town. The building itself is in a medieval setting but with all the modern equipment and facilities you expect in a 4 star hotel. I stayed in many hotels in various european cities, most of them are modern and stylish but this hotel in Figeac carries a piece of history which elevates to another level of luxury.

No many negative aspects to mention. Maybe the pool was a bit small, the space were taken very quickly. It would also be nice to have optional train station or airport transfer services for convenience.

Ideal central location in Figeac. Truly unique building & layout which is stunning. Huge room with walk-in shower, high beamed ceilings & comfortable king-sized bed. Large choice at breakfast including pastries, bread, conserves, meats, cheeses, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, fruit & more! Beautiful pool area with pretty planting & good wooden sun beds. Umbrellas available from reception on our one rainy day. Parking available for 10€ per day in hotel car park (3 mins walk away) or plenty of free parking nearby too (3-5 mins walk away)

Generally the room cleaning was ok but on more than one occasion things were missed. Replenishment of the coffee/tea station was missed once as well as the shower & sink area wasn’t fully cleaned on another day. Not huge issues but this was slightly disappointing in a 4* hotel

It's a lovely hotel if you have the right room and Figeac is a beautiful town.

Our room was up 30 stairs and was not suitable with heavy bags. We were told it was an upgrade from what we booked but we'd have preferred the room we booked with no or few stairs. Don't stay in 308 unless you have light bags. However the staff really impressed us with being helpful during our stay. Very professional.

Location is prime! Loved the room decor and how big the bed and room was! Huge for Europe! The entire layout of the hotel is magical and worth a wander. Lovely breakfast buffet and friendly staff.

Don’t expect everyone to speak English here. The person who checked us in didn’t speak any, which, for Mercure, was unexpected.

The château is charming, and the view from my spacious room was magnificent. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast was copious and delicious.

The carpet had a few faded spots and the floor boards should be repainted. Also, it would be nice if the restaurant stayed open a bit later.

The property is stunning. Such a great building which has been renovated to a high standard but keeping the character. The pool area is lovely if a little echoey when there are lots of children. The food was lovely and the staff helpful. Although in the centre of Figeac the room was very quiet.

We had to plead for an evening reservation despite us staying there for two nights. They should keep a couple of tables free for guests.

Ambience in restaurant, only one member of staff to wait on all the tables, which was not enough. Lack of staff; especially during breakfast. Again one person is not enough. Charge for car parking considering overall costs.

Central location, large medieval building, beautiful bedroom with extremely large comfortable bed, spotless white bed linen and towels. Restaurant was a delight and delicious. Quality toiletries, late checkout. The hotel does have a car park, it's a bit of a climb, though. This was a perfect stop over and highly recommend.

breakfast was silent! need some background music! got woken up by two men jumping into the hotel pool at 2am and had to call receptionist to report it after they woke up our two children. apart from this, a lovely hotel and enjoyed our trip
