The staff were very welcoming and the bed was comfortable, I slept well. The possibility to cook was a bonus, as well as bring able to get off and on the highway with ease, in addition the possibility of buying cheap petrol before getting back on if travelling south.

There was a prevailing smell of dampness/mould, though not in the bedroom which was heavily perfumed, which I also don’t like. I took my own pillow, and when I slept with it the next night I could smell that mouldy smell again, it had gone into the fabric 😳 I’m sure in summer it’s a lot better!!

Excellent host, super house and great village with late open outdoor restaurant. Accom had a pool and we shared the Womens footall Euro's on TV - very nice all round. Lovely

I would have preferred the shower to be in a separate room, not in the corner of the bedroom, but it was a hot, powerful shower so other people would probably be happy with it as it was.

Historic nature of the building. Friendliness and helpfulness of the host. Spaciousness of bedroom and lounge area as well as availability of kitchen facilities. Breakfast of fresh croissants and baguette with homemade jams! Quiet location. Wonderful for exploring local areas.

We had no problem parking, but it could be an issue if it is busy occupied. Otherwise, everything was perfect for us.

What a grand chambers d'hote. Very spacious and interesting reception rooms. Owner provided kitchen and fridge facilities for independent travellers

Delicious breakfast, enormous rooms, huge communal living spaces, beautiful building, great facilities & very helpful host.

Excellent and comfortable stay in this lavishly furnished house. The hostess was warm, friendly and helpful.

The owner is really kind and helpful and prepared a typical French breakfast with a choice of homemade marmalade
