We really liked this place, a lovely old building full of oak beams, beautiful surroundings, and very peaceful. Emmanuel and all the other staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and breakfast was good with one exception, a bowl full of cold hard boiled eggs, a black coating on the yokes which isn't a good sign. I wondered how long they'd been there, I didn't see anyone else try one. Every other place on this trip provided fresh eggs, boiled to order, surely an essential requirement in any non-basic hotel? Finally the cuisine, I'd say it was good, but not quite good enough to justify the cost. I was talking to the Chef on the morning of our last day, and he told me he'd be serving cabillaud avec sauce homard, cod with lobster sauce that evening. We both ordered this and it was a little disappointing, overcooked slightly dry cod in an uninspiring sauce, not something to complain about, but it should have been better, desserts on the other hand were excellent. We would love to come here again though, maybe we'd have better luck next time.

Fabulous building and setting, beautiful garden. Excellent dinner served on the terrace and a very good breakfast with lots of choice. Friendly owners who helped us with our bikes and showed us to our room.

The bedroom wasn’t very big but it was comfortable, however the bathroom was so small it was hard to even get into it! Tea and coffee facilities in the room would also be much appreciated. Very friendly breakfast waitress but she kept crashing about so it wasn’t very peaceful!

Immediate ambiance, very relaxing atmosphere and friendly welcome from the hosts and staff. Beautiful setting. Lovely comfortable rooms. The restaurant food was excellent and very good value. Good selection at breakfast. Definitely will be returning.

Not able to stay longer.

We arrived late after a long drive and found that there had been a problem with our booking. This was very quickly rectified and we enjoyed a fabulous meal in the restaurant: the scallops and chicken were both excellent. Friendly staff. Excellent yoghurt at breakfast.

Very friendly owners who really made us feel welcome. It is a beautiful place, and once the owners have finished updating, it will be even more amazing. Food at restaurant was very good. The garden in the Summer time would be lovely.

Beautiful setting by a lake just on the edge of town in open countryside it was a converted very old farm house 1600's absolutely spotlessly clean , very friendly staff , very highly recomended.

The garden to relax in at the end of the day with a drink from the bar. Stare at the night sky.

Quiet, with a lovely garden. The owners and staff were friendly and the hotel dog, Ice, is super cute! A half Hour drive to Saint Malo and Cap Erquy for amazing hikes and views.

Rooms were a bit small

we went for a picknick and asked for a Rosé wine. We got a very good wine (cooled down) and even wine glasses!

there is not much around. To go to the old town of Lamballe, you need the car. But this was obvious on our booking and no surprise.

The staff were very friendly and the evening meal and breakfast were good value for money, we would deffinately use this hotel again.
