The emphasis at this hotel is tranquillity, relaxation and exemplary service. Don't expect some of the "bells & whistles" you might get at mainstream 5* chain hotels. Instead the USP here is one of superb customer service, where all of the staff will go out of their way to make sure every aspect of your visit is the best it can be. We had a wonderful stay and I'm sure we will return.

The food at the hotel restaurant is excellent but the evening set-menu meant that we'd experienced pretty much everything on the menu after a couple of visits. If there had been a bit more variety/the occasional "daily special", then we would have eaten at the restaurant more during our week-long stay.

A magnificent setting for a relaxing stay. One of the most beautiful views I have ever experienced at a hotels and I have travelled extensively. Friendly and competent staff. Great rooms. Excellent facilities. Two swimming pools. Electric charging for my car. Sports rooms. Sauna/Spa.

It was difficult to find any other good restaurants nearby (they were all booked for weeks ahead) so you are compelled to eat there every night. It is a very good restaurant, but one would like to explore other alternatives sometimes.

The location is a little out of the way, which is great for a peaceful stay, but it's quite tricky to walk anywhere for a meal. The restaurant was a beautiful setting but the food was expensive, the choice a little limited and everything seemed to be covered in cream or sauce

Lovely hotel with views over hills and valley. Staff was excellent and gave great advice and help in where to go, what to see. We ate dinner in hotel many nights — there is a chef artist who creates beautiful and delicious and healthy dinners served overlooking the views. Two pools, one infinity where I was able to do laps! All was serene and lovely. Hotel is a 7 minute walk above a small but pretty town, and 10 minute drive to ileRousse, a charming seaside village, And close to many beautiful beaches and other towns to visit. A great trip! Cannot recommend A Patatella highly enough!

Everything! Location, room, ambience, staff and food all excellent

Nothing at all-only slight inconvenience was having a few wasps when eating outside, however this seemed to be a problem everywhere on Corsica

The location and the hotel itself are beautiful, a tranquil hideaway in the rocky hills above Île Rousse, with spectacular views across the valley, no main roads for miles, hiking trails right from the doorstep, and wonderful beaches a 20 minute drive away. The friendly staff always seemed able to rustle up a snack even when the restaurant was closed, and we often sat down for a Corsican cheese and fig jam sharing platter and a glass of rosé on the beautiful terrace after coming in exhausted from an expedition. The two infinity pools are also lovely places to relax for a few hours. (Also worth mentioning, there are a couple of EV charging points in the hotel’s very convenient car park, although I didn’t see any electric/hybrid cars for hire at Calvi airport.)

The remote location does limit the choice for dining out. There is of course the hotel’s excellent restaurant, or La Pasturella a 15 minute walk down the hill, otherwise you’ll need to book a taxi to Santa-Reparata or Île Rousse (which of course the hotel will do for you, along with recommendations for the best places to eat).

Excellent hotel with amazing view wherever you are and perfect breakfast

This hotel is an absolute dream. The service was impeccable, breakfast included all you can imagine, with local pastries and specialties (e.g., chestnut honey). The mountain views from the terrace (ideal for sunset aperitif), restaurant and the two infinity pools were just gorgeous. The rooms very spacious, very modern, and located in a way that you get a lot of privacy and almost feel like you have the resort for yourself. We wanted to stay longer but the hotel was fully booked (despite it being out of season!). We will definitely be back soon.

Jacuzzi water could have been cleaner (nothing crazy, just a few flies and leaves). Other than that really nothing. Its a paradise.

The attention to detail, the friendliness of the staff, the fabulous facilities all helped to make this a memorable stay.

I think this is the best hotel I've been to in Europe. The amenities are in line with the best 5 star hotels out there. The two infinity pools, the view on the Corsican mountains, the quiet and extremely relaxing location, the spa with sauna, hamam and massage chair, the all-wooden gym, the restaurant and quality of the food, the high speed wifi (you need to connect to the Business Wifi network for that, which is also free). However it was the staff quality that really stood out and combined with the contained dimensions of the hotels this created a true intimate effect generating the perfect environment where to relax. Both my wife and myself booked massages and were not disappointed, if you suffer from back problems ask about Stefano - he was an absolute superstar and gave us some of the best massages we've ever had. I cannot recommend this hotel enough, we will definitely be back.
