Location is fantastic right on the beach . Definitely worth paying the extra for the sea view . We didn’t have a suite but they had a lovely terrace overlooking the sea which would be perfect if staying a few days or longer . Comfortable bed and nice room and bathroom . Had a great meal at the adjacent restaurant which shared the same building - also overlooking the beach and sea.

Information overload before arrival -I must have had at least 10 messages from the hotel asking or giving information before we arrived !

Hotel location was excellent

I booked a superior seaview room with a bath and a shower as that was what was advertised on line by booking.com and a bath and a shower was specified in the confirmation received from them.. However when I arrived at the hotel and went to the room there was no bath. I queried this with the hotel receptionist and she stated that each room only came with a bath or a shower but not both. Booking.dot.com have a habit of getting details like this wrong and this is the second time we have not got what was requested and confirmed from booking.com.

Location, it was lovely being on the beach. Parking at the hotel was easy, and even when the market was on, we managed to park nearby. The hotel has a good restaurant. I'm not sure if the beach bar belonged to hotel, also very good, although could do with more seating.

No bar area to go to after dinner, we had to sit in reception, not allowed back in restaurant although not full. Also the bed was very small and there was a very awkward door into the room. Chairs in beach bar chained up in the evening when many people needed to sit???

The hotel could do with some investment, especially externally. Unfortunately during our visit we had 4 bulldozers operating from about 5am - 2pm, effectively outside our room pushing the top metre of the beach back into the sea! We would have thought that there would have been some considerable notice of these works and it would have been appropriate to advise guests in advance. Regrettably did rather detract from our stay.

Staff brilliant, location excellent though I went in October and when the winds were blowng hard for 3 of the 5 days. Saint Marc had a couple of bars open, one had a very decent restaurant. The hotel had a lovely restaurant connected though it isnt part of the hotel commercially but physically connected. The breakfast I tried once but it is orientated for non UK tastes Bacon and scrambled egg not so good for me. Machine coffee was very good. It has great many choices though.

As above the breakfast for my tastes but most will love it.

Fabulous, spacious room with huge private terrace and wonderful view of the unspoilt beach. Comfortable, quiet and well equipped. We ate dinner in the restaurant - exceptional food. We came for the Monsieur Hulot connections but it was a lovely town in its own right. Would definitely stay here again. Local bars and restaurants were welcoming and good quality.

Comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. The room overlooked the Monsieur Hulot Beach, with a spectacular view of the local coast. Unfortunately, the weather was stormy during part of my visit, which meant that I couldn't spend any time sitting on the good-sized balcony outside the double doors to the room. Located in a pleasant little village which has lots of references to Monsieur Hulot and his famous Holiday there in the 1950s. Reachable by bus from St Nazaire railway station (bus service U3 at the time of writing, final destination Chemin de la Source, but alight a few stops before it at the "Jacques Tati" stop which is about five minutes' walk to the hotel).

The room was smaller than I expected. I did wonder whether there might have been any scope for the hotel to extend the room a bit, using up some of the spacious balcony, but I doubt that the hotel could justify the cost and effort involved for what would provide only a modestly-sized improvement to the bedroom space.

My daughter's room which was upgraded to ocean view plus terrace with a very nice shower. Located directly on the beach. Very nice breakfast. Very helpful staff.

Our room had a bathtub which was a bit difficult to access for my husband and I who are seniors.

As Tati fans, this was a special treat. Inside, the hotel has little or nothing that is reminiscent of Monsieur Hulot’s Holiday, but the beach and the whole atmosphere of the town are pretty much un-sullied, despite the modern architecture.

Our sea-facing room had all we needed, but was small. Even with the windows open all night, the duvet provided was insufferably hot for late July. This is a common problem we encounter in hotels - I don’t understand why there isn’t a summer option.

Clean and the interior is beautifully decorated. Our terrace overlooking the sea was lovely.

Paper cups for the tea and coffee making in our room. The milk was limited to one cup and was tiny. Had to ask for it to be replenished. Which they did without a problem.
