What a wonderful place! Full of history and beauty and the best of hospitality. The room was enormous, with great high ceilings. The views from the windows were beautiful. The bed was unbelievably comfortable. Dominique gave us a very interesting tour of our wing of the castle. Richelieu stayed at Rousson in 1629! We saw his suite of rooms. What an experience! And breakfast was wonderful, including eggs from the chickens wandering about out our window.

i can only tell you that the Castle is not only amazing but the family who owns it since 1600 can make you feel you are leaving there. Brigitte who grew up in the castle and is in every single detail and Dominique who knows every story make you feel at home . the best experience ever! Superb breakfast served early as a special request that the owner was kind enough to meet. The Chateau is a long living tribute to the dedication of the owners. The pool was superb after a hot day of driving.

I did not like to leave!

The castle is a very impressive building, with a tremendous history. The host was wonderful and went out of his way to make us comfortable and show us around. It is a unique building (a castle) with just 2 rooms available. It feels as if we were the lords of the manor. The breakfast was delicious and presented in the impressive dining hall. We had a lot of fun.

There are a few flights of steps to the rooms, so pack light.

We enjoyed our stay very much. A fantastic experience. Castle Rousson is not a hotel nor a museum, but a home with a very warm atmosphere. We loved everything from our room in the tower to the breakfast served the first day on the terrasse and the second day in the dining room. Brigitte and Dominique (and Otis, the friendliest of dogs) - thank you for Your hospitality and for making us feel so welcome. We look forward to return.

My stay was absolutely fantastic. The hosts, Brigitte et Dominique are such nice people and full of warmth. My room was in one of the four towers, plenty of space, incredibly romantic and clean. The view is stunning, and the pool gives you the extra bit of luxury. The breakfast is served outside, which was fabulous. I will come back when I am in this area again.

Dominique & Brigitte made our stay special by being the most perfect hosts in their wonderful chateau. The building has all the charm of its 400 year history, coupled with beautifully furnished bedrooms and modern bathrooms which are the work of the hosts.

There was nothing we did not like.

This was exceptional and exceeded all our expectations. Not only was it a castle and our room a castle room with canopy bed, down blanket and linen bedding, but the owners were exceptionally welcoming, responsive, and informative. They catered to us and fed us extraordinary meals and breakfasts. By far the best ever hidden gem!

Serene environment, quiet, peaceful, clean and pleasant.

Internet connection was poor to non existent throughout our stay.
