Looking for a quiet weekend away from our French village whilst the annual Fête was on we decided upon Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val, a village we have previously visited for an odd day. Ploughing through the offerings on Bookings.com (other booking sites are available!) one Chambre d’Hôte appealed more than most. Four days at La Résidence proved to be one of the best choices I have made in a long while. As my wife currently has some medical issues we needed a place that we could call ‘home from home’ so I chose their room with its own private roof terrace which meant that if she did not feel up to a day of sightseeing we could relax in our own little world, away from crowds, whilst enjoying the fresh air. Our hosts, Lisa and Richard, were happy for us to do our own thing after a superb presentation of the finest continental breakfasts anyone could wish for. Home made granola, fresh fruit salad, home made brownies and lemon drizzle cake followed by croissants, bread, jam and cheese - perfect. Would we stay here again on any future trips? Yes without any doubt. Would I recommend La Résidence to anyone. Again yes without doubt. Thank you Lisa and Richard for a perfect weekend away.

I had fore-warned my wife of the spiral staircase to our room (a bête noir for my wife as we live in a single storey house) so she was fore-armed of the trek and felt that the effort on her part was well rewarded on arrival in our room.

La Résidence was a fantastic place! Lisa and Richard were excellent hosts, providing amazing breakfast each morning, including locally-sourced ingredients in homemade food. The room was very spacious, offering great views of the picturesque St. Antonin village and surrounding hills & cliffs. The village itself is very quiet and relaxing, and La Résidence was equally quiet and relaxing. We will definitely be staying there again, and I'd strongly recommend this hotel to all!

My only complaint is that we couldn't stay longer!

Lovely hosts and lovely breakfast - perfect location. 10/10.

The back garden is a hidden gem as are the two lovely (slightly spherical) cats. Property itself is a lovely old French village house. Rooms varied (due to the nature of the property) but all well fitted out with all you need and hosts anticipated needs for me and my friend like an iron for clothes for a wedding.

Richard and Lisa were lovely. We had read wonderful reviews of them and it drove our decision to stay at La Residence. We were fully validated as they are fantastic hosts who know when to lean in and when to give the guest space. They were friendly, helpful and the breakfasts were divine! A hearty recommendation.

This was by far the best breakfast we have had in a hotel for a very long time, Both for taste and presentation. Richard & Lisa make every effort to make breakfast look really appealing. Lots of little home-made treats and a lovely cappuccino. We ate in the summer garden which was relaxed and very pretty. The location of this hotel was superb. Central to all the hotspots, shops and restaurants. The proprietors, Lisa & Richard were happy to make personal bookings for us at local restaurants which was really helpful. I can highly recommend this hotel.

Loved it all. The only thing missing was a full length mirror in our room. Not the end of the world!

Lisa produced the most delicious breakfasts with different things every day. The bed was extremely comfortable and large with good quality sheets. The room was cool despite being hot with the shutters closed. Richard was extremely helpful and supplied us with a map of the village and somewhere nearby to park.

We loved absolutely everything! La Residence is totally beautiful, gorgeous stylish décor of high quality, very comfy beds and beautiful bed linen., excellent bathrooms etc. Lisa and Richard were fantastic hosts, very attentive, nothing was ever too much trouble for them and they made the most wonderful breakfasts for us. If we could give triple points we would gladly do it. The village is also superb, so historic and full of atmosphere. We stayed for 6 nights and filled each day wandering the countryside in our car, discovering beautiful medieval villages and magnificent countryside each day. The building is lovely. It is an ancient house of the village that has been fully renovated and decorated in a very nice way. The bedrooms are gorgeous and very spacious with full bathroom. The hosts are extremely nice, helpful and attentive to the needs of their guests. The breakfast is excellent and very copious. This place is a true gem.

Richard - the owner was so very calming and kind. The hotel has a simplicity no clutter just clean. Beautifully decorated with fine objects and statues. The room was quiet honestly class. The bed was firm and felt brand new. The view over the lovely wonderfully kept garden was refreshing as is the location.

The location , our room with a lovely terrace and the hosts who were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was truly delicious! Fresh fruit salad and fresh baked madeleines one morning and chocolate brownies another. Our hosts took great care of the breakfast. We were truly impressed!
