We were on a tight schedule so did not have any meals here. The hotel was well-located for the town centre. It's the place to come if you are researching marmots. By the river Lot and worth a look; lovely enclosed square in the municipal buildings adjacent to the hotel, walk through and you are in the centre next to the river. if you want to have an evening meal in the town it looked a bit limited, so best to look on Google and book in advance.

The owners were so helpful! We had gotten lost and GPS confused us. Owner cheerfully walked several blocks with us to show us the proper route to arrive at hotel/free parking. Then carried our luggage upstairs! (We are oldish). We appreciated excellent service at restaurant even though we arrived quite a bit later than expected.

So grateful for warm welcome after a long day of driving.

The small town is very beautiful where le lion d'or is situated - very close to all ameneties and close by parking in the square ( except Saturdays which is market day). The hotel is sparkling clean, the staff are really friendly and dinner was delicious for a very reasonable price. Really comfortable bed. We will certainly stay here again (hopefully soon!)

On arrival the receptionist informed us of the market next morning, so our car was not blocked in. We had a lovely quiet room looking over the square. The breakfast was plenty for our needs. As we came to pay our bill the young man was quick to see that we needed the receptionist and soon got him.

A beautiful hotel in a wonderful setting. Room was spacious and exceptionally clean. We had a lunch and an evening meal there. The food is absolutely delicious, beautifully presented and full of flavour. Welcoming and friendly staff.

Staff were very good and very helpful. There was a safe dry place for our bikes The bedroom was large, clean and the bed and pillows very comfortable. The ensuite was a decent size with a good shower, the toilet was separate. We ate in the restaurant that evening, the meal was delicious and good value. Staff were attentive and very helpful.

Instructions for the coffee machine would be helpful

Dinner was very good and the location was excellent, close to the river and town attractions.

Unfortunately there was a motor rally gathering in the square and streets nearby were closed so parking overnight became an issue.

Jerome the manager was helpful and expertly directed a small but efficient staff. The town is so charming. The restaurant at the property wS excellent and reasonably priced

Large bedroom with excellent provisions. Location in the centre of the town. Only down side is the restaurant is not open on a Monday. Great value none the less.
