Staff is super friendly and accommodating. Wifi had good even if the login portal is a bit annoying at times. Room was a good side with a clean and large shower. Temperature control worked well and kept the room comfortable through out the cold days.

Location is great for my work but if you’re not travelling by car it can get a little tricky. The breakfast is OK but might not be worth the price if you have time to drive to a nearby town. Overall these are minor and I will stay there again.

It was good, big room, quiet, relax, close to go around wineries and Bordeaux for the day. Dinner and service at the restaurant was really nice and pleasant, but slow.

The breakfast was very poor, we arrived to the restaurant at 8:30am and only 1 croissant left, not other breads, a few pieces of jam and one kind of cheese, few yogurts. The lady that helped that morning there, disappeared and did not come back with more food. We left the restaurant hungry and disappointed. They charge 15 euros per person, not appropriate for what they are offering.

We were so lucky to find this fantastic hotel located only a short distance from Bordeaux and set in beautiful surroundings. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Our bedroom was huge and well equipped. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We particularly enjoyed relaxing around the pool area, and the food at the 1930 restaurant was outstanding. It deserves much higher than a 3 star rating.

There was an unpleasant smell on approach to the reception coming from the well outside the door.

We stayed here for one night on our journey to the Southwest of France. It was a perfect haven after a long drive - a beautiful old property which had everything we needed. The grounds are quiet and relaxing and the pool was wonderfully refreshing in the heat. We’d definitely stay again!

The menu choices at the restaurant were rather limited, but we were travelling in low season (just) so maybe that was why.

Lovely and clean, new apartment

We arrived early evening and would have liked to have had a meal in the restaurant or at least a sandwich - but they were unable to accommodate. The owner did recommend a pizza place a few miles away called OB - which was great, really nice pizza and a beer. There was also an issue with booking.com , the owner said she hadn’t been paid for 3 months and was therefore not keen to accept our reservation ! I have logged this with booking.com but no response as yet.

The hotel and the grounds were excellent and well kept. Restaurant very comfortable and waiter service excellent.

One slight problem. On arrival we were not told that the breakfast closes at 9.00. No information in room concerning times either. Unfortunately, we arrived at 9.15 and were told no breakfast although, all that was offered was still on display. The member of staff was not accommodating and with a sigh she showed us the coffee machine. Then quickly removed all the food. It was a total shame because up to that point the hotel was excellent. However, when were checking out the receptionist apologised and offered to have breakfast sent to our room. Unfortunately, we were packed and checking out so we declined. This refusal of breakfast would not stop us again staying at this excellent hotel.

Our room was fabulous (No 5) huge and airy, fantastic bathroom & very comfortable beds. Lovely atmosphere, very welcoming, especially Susie the concierge cat! Marie Cecile the owner organised a private visit to Chateau La Tour Martillac for us and gave us loads more suggestions re chateaux to visit. We had a lovely meal in Domaine de Larchey the first night & the Samuel the restaurant very kindly made reservations for us at La Table de la Lavoir at Chateau Haut Lafite the following night which we would never have secured ourselves.

Beds particularly comfortable and swimming pool was great after a long day in the car and it was a hot day!

Breakfast - could have had a bit more choice and the dinner was ok but the menu is limited and unfortunately there was a large group staying which meant that it unbalanced the restaurant when most people were 1s and 2s

Excellent hotel, facilities, restaurant, location, and people! Exceptional service across the board! From Charles and Chef Bouton at 1930s resturant to the front desk staff - everything was top notch! A must as a central location if you visit the local wineries! You will not be disappointed!

Truly amazing place and the most accommodating staff. Very convenient location, free parking, have very decent restaurant on site. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. Special gratitude to Marie-Cécile Gramond for making our stay very special.
