The location was great; walking distance to city center where all the shopping and restaurants were. Right on the canal which was so petty. The staff was FABULOUS!!! They were so friendly and accommodating especially since we didn’t speak the language. The sweet man that worked the reception in the evenings was ADORABLE. WE LOVED HIM. I’m so sad I didn’t get his name. The room was comfortable. I liked that the toilet was in a separate room than the shower and sink. That way, 2 people could be doing things at the same time! There were 3 of us and it was GREAT having a twin bed for my daughter while we had a king. Her twin bed was in a side room. There was no door separating the rooms but she had her own space. It was very helpful. Having an elevator was AWESOME but there are at least 3 different sets of steps to get TO the elevator. They served a continental breakfast each morning. It was an extra charge but nice enough.

The only two things that were a negative was there were ants in our room and the air conditioning was HORRIBLE. We were so hot all night. It made for a right time of sleeping.

From the entrance and beyond, your eyes want to catch all the beautiful design elements from Haussmann charm to modern art everywhere to a very comfortable bedroom, and a delicious and generous breakfast in the sweetest of courtyards. Highly recommend this gem! Get a ‘quay’ view if you can.

Make sure to get a ‘quay view’ for your room. My error for not reading the fine print, but the beautiful public spaces (those mirrors…) and the little café outside, more than made up for our no-view bedroom. It is a beautiful building with unique artistic style!

All good. Reception both efficient and very helpful especially to my wife who currently has serious problems with walking due to severe muscular problems in her leg. Special thanks to Ann for her help. Advised where to eat and happily offered to make booking. I paid for secure parking. Very good with helpful staff assisting. A very pleasant stay. Would certainly return.

Did not understand some previous reviews. One criticised space for parking, but found no issue there. Also one in particular critical of staff but I found all of them helpful and more than willing to help with any language barrier. Also breakfast criticised by some, again good. I sometimes wonder if the problem is with the reviewer?

- very stylish place: we loved the interior, art and design of the hotel - cosy backyard for having breakfast - great location - high quality breakfast items but not a very big selection - parking was available but already fully booked so we parked in a public underground parking nearby

- a little something we missed was a bottle of water in the rooms and tissues - toilet and bathroom are separate and the toilet is very small

The tranquility and the location, the uncomplicated and personal elegance, and the expressive feeling of interesting and experienced personalities. My first time to Sète and I got the rest and peace that I was looking for. Although ‘out of season’ there was plenty going on and I ate very well at nearby restaurants and Les Halles. I really only experienced a very small part and this has encouraged me to start planning my return visit.

Nothing negative

We loved everything about this hotel - where to start....? It is right in the middle of Sete, by a canal, with very easy access on foot to restaurants etc. Even though it's central, you can drive right up to the garage door, and the garage must have been an old warehouse so no worries about car with roof box fitting in to it. The staff are delightful, the breakfast was terrific and the building has been beautifully renovated so it's light and airy everywhere. I also think it's very good value for money.

Beautiful style - easily one of the most beautiful buildings in Sète. The art, the design, the light. And the staff were super lovely.

For this price, breakfast should be included. I went to their lovely café at the front of the hotel to just enjoy a pain au chocolat and a coffee, which was only a few euros, whereas the petit déjeuner inside was I believe €15 and there was not much at all - no eggs or anything like that.

The hotel is a good standard and location on the main canal is good. The bathroom was good with shower over the bath. Staff were friendly and had quite good English. Street parking seemed generally available and free from 7pm to 9am and about 2.4 euro for 2hrs but rises to 25 euro over 2.5hrs.

Although advertising parking, spots are limited to 5 spaces and none were available when we arrived. Our twin non-canal facing room was quite small with no tea/coffee making facilities or fridge.

The staff were extremely kind, warm and lovely! I’m an English speaker and the staff greeted me each day so warmly. The property is in a perfect location.,Superb aircon & lift to each floor of the decadent old building. The rooms are very comfortable and I had everything I needed to enjoy my stay for 4 nights.

The rooms are not perfect but the aircon & comfortable bed made up for that.

Beautifully located near the canal, restaurants and old city center. Beautiful buildind and entrance. Breathtaking view on the canal and fisherman boats.

When you come by car there is no possibility to park and take out the luggage in front of the hotel. On the contrary if you find a parking spot nearby you can safely leave your car for the night. Breakfast is tasteful but very modest.
