We loved everything about this B and B! Bruno and Gus were wonderful hosts, going out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our time in and around Tréguier by suggesting and providing maps to other towns and places of interest, making restaurant reservations, and even helping to get our SIM card working! A visit to Isle de Bréhat where we rented bikes was a particularly memorable day! Breakfasts, served in their beautifully furnished living room included fruit, cheese, fresh bread and pastries, and Bruno’s signature ham, cheese and egg crepes- delicious!! We would highly recommend a stay at B and B du Cloitre!!!

Everything was perfect

Outstanding!! Bruno & Gus have renovated this magnificent old 15th century building, right in the heart of Tréguier - a charming little 'cité de chactère' - with love and care, and seemingly with a maxim that only the best quality materiels and fittings would suffice - then filled it with their priceless, eclectic collection of antiques and works of art, before opening it as a B&B. The result is a quite exceptional accommodation. The attention to detail, the highly personal service, including a superb breakfast served in a wonderful 15th century setting, and the energy and enthusiasm exuded by Bruno and Gus, transform this into an outstanding base for exploring the region. We always try to seek out unusual, unconventional places to stay on our travels, but this one ticks all our rather special set of boxes, and goes straight to the top of our favourites list. Our only regret is that we could stay for just three nights. We'll be back - and next time, we'll stay longer!

The wonderful old stone staircase was a challenge for my ageing limbs but that was part of the charm of the building!

Everything was great! This is a beautifully restored old building with stunning decor. The room was sumptuous: the furniture and fittings were on another level compared with the many BnBs we have stayed in. The 2 hosts, Bruno & Gus, were so warm, welcoming and professional. They couldn’t do enough for us. From providing a GF breakfast for me (a yummy galette) to countless suggestions of where to visit. I would not hesitate to book - worth every penny or cent!

The B&B du Cloître is a 14th century timbered home located on the town square facing the cathedral. The decor was fascinating with interesting antiques everywhere and a lovely garden. Charming rooms with exposed beams are equipped with spotless, modern bathrooms, plenty of conveniently placed outlets for charging electronics and comfortable beds. Many have original fireplaces and some have cathedral views. Breakfast was a Breton feast with galettes, baked goods prepared by the hosts and eggs from their own chickens. The charming hosts sat down with us and discussed an itinerary for our visit directing us to local spots we never would have found on our own and suggesting local restaurants. Their hospitality extended after our visit when we had a flat tire in the rain; Bruno came and negotiated the repair with a garage. This was the most outstanding stay of our three week trip in Brittany.

Conveniently located to see all the local sights. Although the wonderful breakfast is not included in the room rate it is very reasonable and is a great way to interact with the owners who are wonderful hosts and provided lots of useful information about things to do and see in the area. I highly recommend it.

Parking is a few minutes walk away but this is not a problem if planned. There is room to pull up in front of the property to drop off bags.

One of the best French accommodations we have had the pleasure to stay in. The house is stunning and the attention to detail is amazing. The hosts were charming, extremely attentive, helpful and very interesting to speak with. The garden is beautiful and very peaceful. The location is directly next to the Cathedral, and very ambient. Our room, and our amazing breakfast were so appreciated - only wish we could have stayed longer. A massive thank you to Gus and Bruno and we wish you all the best.

Nothing it was perfect

This is really a very unique hotel, rather than just another B&B. It has several stories as well as some public use areas (including a garden), all in a historical building on the edge of the central market place of Tréguier (thus could not be any more centrally located). The two owners are both very nice and helpful gentlemen who gave us a lot of advice and treated us to a delicious and special breakfast in the morning. Almost all the furniture and decorations of the hotel have historical and/or artistic value. It felt like living in a very welcoming museum. Experience staying there is one of the kind!

This is an absolutely amazing property. Everything is top notch and very creative and tasteful. The owners are so welcoming and helpful. They helped us with dinner reservations, sightseeing suggestions and a problem we had with our rental car. They absolutely went above and beyond. There is lots more I could say but you should come see for yourself!

Nothing, everything was wonderful!

Everything was fantastic. Located in the central square in Treguier, fabulous market and the most beautiful old buildings. The hosts have worked really hard to produce modern facilities in an old building with rustic charm and suitable adornments. The garden is beautiful, the breakfast excellent value for money, even cooked eggs for us Australians. Would highly recommend you stay here if you can get in. Tops. The hosts took our cases in and helped load the car in a nearby parking area without being asked. They gave terrific advice on what we could see, alas only in a one night stay.

The hosts, Bruno & Gus were great. They were very friendly, knowledgeable about the area, and wonderful ‘chefs’. The location is very central for various day tips, and had easy parking. (although be forewarned, don’t park in the square on market day, or Bruno will come knocking at your door VERY early in the morning. :-)

We couldn’t stay longer, because we had future reservations elsewhere.
