Beautiful and quiet place, magical under the snow, with a nice walk around the former mound. Dinner at the restaurant was extremely good, I had one of the most tender rumsteaks I have had in a long time. The hotel sells all kinds of jam and local products like apple juice. We were upgraded to a large suite, which very comfortable, with a lovely terrace straight onto the garden and a huge bathroom. Kettle, tea and coffee in the room. Very easy parking onsite.

Wi-fi practically non-existant. Despite a charming exterior, decoration is modern and neutral, not very cozy. Room was slightly chilly, and shower so modern you need a PhD to use it and not very practical. Also, it would have been great if the fireplace at the restaurant was lit, it was freezing outside. To be really picky, scrambled eggs, as in most German hotels, were very solid and soft-boiled eggs were hard-boiled. We would certainly lodge here again, despite these little things.

It is always my go to place. Wonderful staff and a really caring management. Nothing is too much trouble. Quiet and beautiful location and food is always perfection

A 40-year trip down memory lane for us, the Forsthaus has a unique ambience and is immaculately kept by the family owners. Superb comfort and gourmet food.

Beautiful buildings and setting. Very peaceful. Possibility to eat out side.

We were in the modern rooms near the water mill. There was a cold drinks machine and had to ask for hot water to make a cup of tea at bed time. The rooms themselves were very nice and spacious but the bathroom was not for the more modest of us with a full size window into the bed room.

Beautiful place in a small forrest. Everything was great. Even better than our high expectations. Recommended to relax.
