Very good break fast with a grill plate to cook DIY eggs and bacon tomatoes etc. Fruit bowl in reception. The staf were very friendly. I arrived on my motorcycle the kitchen had just closed but I was made a fresh pizza specially. I enjoyed having my breakfast outside on the terrace beside a wall of lavender alive with bees. I was particular delighted with the historic timber frame hotel construction. The traditional timber yard across the road ( very quiet) had some fine converted logs one about 1.5m diameter with rings to show it was over 120 years old. There’re was an astronomical dome in the garden. Some thing to explore on an other visit.

Coffee could have been better, it’s a matter of personal taste.

Friendly staff, and food good.There is a lovely heated pool, and another room by pool where you can relax and play games. However due to Christmas period, bar in this room closed. Need to get drink from mini bar fridge.

There could be tea, coffee facilities in room. They are plenty of soft drinks, wine and beer in the mini bar. However staying at Christmas, all shops, cafes etc shut. Restaurant at hotel not always open during day. Plenty of Christmas decorations in main areas, however would be nice to have a couple in rooms, as once in room there was no Christmas feeling.

My room (it was the last one an available) was on the top floor. I should have asked for help with the carryon - but I didn’t. When I checked out, I asked for help, and the friendly staff member brought it down.

Charming inn in a small village very close to Höxter. Loved coming here at night and eating in their restaurant - Chef is good!

Would have liked better access to pool - but this may have been my fault as I didn’t ask for help and I don’t read Deutsch

Great breakfast, large room, fireplace and the restaurant too was excellent.

Bar closed at 21h, which was a bit soon (it was April, so hopefully in the summer it's a little longer), shower was not working well.

I love that they gave my motorcycle a shelter with a roof. Exceptional service, and brilliant food.

Friendly staff nice big room and excellent food. They had a secure place to store my bike. Dinner menu was varied and delicious.

Fabulous little hotel. We just booked somewhere in the area and were very pleasantly surprised. We dined at the hotel and the chef had gone sick. The hotel owner stepped in and did all the cooking while a local and very engaging young woman stepped in and served everyone. It had a happy atmosphere. Quite spacious rooms. Breakfast was fine. We are looking forward to returning to enjoy the local countryside.
