The balcony where we saw the lake, comfortable beds, nice breakfast and nice breakfast room with a view of the lake, Nice sandwishes to buy in the evening.

They wrote that it was important to arrive before 22 at night. We were stressed when we drove afraid of getting in a queue, but when we arrived there was still a key in a box. We thought that maybe we could have collected the key even a few minutes after 10 and not been so stressed.

Breakfast was very good, in the good old fashion way.

We stayed just one night at a time for two times, and the first time we had a room with a very noisy toilet ventilator, which went on every time we switched the bathroom light on and kept going for like 15 min. after we switched the light off - quite annoying at night... The second time, we asked for a quieter room, and it was OK.

We got a huge room with balcony, overlooking Dieksee. The bathroom was equally grand, breakfast was beautifully laid out and very good (a selection of eggs were available on demand). We even got a colorful sunset. Our bicycles were stored under roof in the garden. The receptionist on arrival was very nice.

Nothing wrong with the hotel. We had dinner at the Boothaus, which was more average in quality. The hotel only serves breakfast. The area as such is beautiful and good for biking, but the immediate surroundings (old multi-storey bulding) seemed a little run-down.

I was unlucky that next to my room a couple smoked non stop on their balcony. As it was very warm,this deprived me of the opportunity of sitting outside,as the smell was unbearable 🙃

Staff excellent. Location superb and very quiet. Breakfast with good choice. Room large enough for comfort. These qualities are enough for us to return.

Room curtains need to be thicker to keep out the light in the morning. Bathroom rather small the shower especially so. The shower cubicle awkward to get into. A full bathroom update is needed.

The location is fabulous. That view in the evening and morning was speechless. Close to restaurants and public transport (railway to Kiel and Lübeck). Great and luxurious breakfast. Very clean both room and bathroom.

The hotel is in a perfect location on the lakeside. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful, and the room clean and comfortable. The breakfast was truly excellent. The WiFi connection also worked well and was simple to use.

The only improvement I would suggest is that I would have liked to have a kettle in the room to be able to make coffee or tea.

It would be good to have a secure, lockable cycle store.

Very good location by the lake with walking distance to a super fish restaurant at the waterfront. The elevator made it easy to get our suitcases upstairs.

Parking was very limited, so we tried not to use our car during our short stay.

The credit card machine did not work and I had to drive to the bank machine, you need to get a machine that work or it will scare customers away
