Stayed in their TinySky Pods as a couple. Ours was on the ground not on the roof which was perfect for us. Clearly very new, very modern, very clean and comfortable. The Pods are quirky but with everything we needed for a short and mostly self-catering stay. Location for exploring the wonderful Harz Railway is perfect just 200m ish from the Nordhausen Nord Station. We loved it. Staff are great and very helpful too.....

Nothing really. Actual position of the Pod seemed a bit open and unsafe to start with but we needn't have worried. It was very quiet for a town position right by the station and it is secure. Once the new garden grows a bit more it'll be lovely and more secluded.

Excellent continental buffet breakfast with a very wide and varied selection. Friendly, helpful staff. Hotel was in a convenient location just a short walk from the DB and HSB railway stations, which was very useful as I arrived and departed by train and used both the DB and HSB train services to explore the Harz mountains region during my stay. Hotel has a beautiful period interior with clean and comfortable rooms and an excellent bar and restaurant. As I had advised the hotel that I would be arriving late in the evening to check in to the hotel the staff had left my room card in a key safe outside the entrance and sent me the pin number to open this by text message.

I could not find anything much to fault about the hotel or the service from the staff.

Receptionists spoke English and provided is with baby cot and a kettle , there is a big public car park but also a private one for 8 euro per day. Room was specious and clean.

The air condition was not working or not exsiting in our room. It was hot so we just opened the windows for the night. Recption desk and bar could be open a bit longer than 10pm.

One member of staff at the hotel restaurant was very rude. First he claimed the restaurant was fully booked. My husband however managed to book a table and when the waiter saw me entering the restaurant / the table where my family was sitting he approached me and asked why I entered the restaurant as he told me before to eat somewhere else. There was no reason to send guests of the hotel away whilst some guests were greeted with handshake etc. The restaurant wasn’t even full. Shocking!

The location of the hotel is just opposite the main train station. Also, its a very prime location from where you can easily access market and take bus or tram to reach any other place within minutes. Also, the hotel check-in process was quite smooth and quick. I reached late at night around 8 PM. But they send me the checkin process beforehand for good stay. Staff is so polite and humble. They are quite welcoming and their gestures make me comfortable. Infact, I was not well and requested for late checkout around 11:30 AM and they allowed it and I waited for an hour more at the reception for my train to next destination. The room was so comfortable and clean, giving a feel like designed for princess. Finishings are too good and all the information already placed at my table when I checked in the room

We broke down on the way back to the UK and this was a last minute booking. The staff couldn't be more helpful. They kept the kitchen open so we could have a dinner and in the morning they let us leave our language with them and use their WiFi whilst sorting out our breakdown cover etc. The room was big with a beautiful bath. It had a coffee maker and bottles of water. The bed was comfy and it was just perfect. Loved the interior design too. The restaurant served amazing vegan dish. We are very lucky we managed to find this place. Thank you again for being so helpful.

Everything was perfect

Excellent location - we arrived by train, it is just a few minutes walk. Was equally well located for the trams and buses giving easy access to the main part of Nordhausen. Check in was really easy, it is always helpful when the staff speak English as our German doesn't get us very far! The room was really comfortable and quiet. The WiFi worked well. We had an evening meal in the restaurant, it's not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. It was nice the chef came around to check everyone had enjoyed the food. There is also a lounge bar on the top floor, this was very good too. We liked this hotel a lot and would go back again, not something we say too often.

Excellent location, both for the main railway station and for the Harz steam railway. Great breakfast and nice rooms with a classic feel to them. Staff were very helpful and can sell postage stamps.

The breakfast bar doesn't have ready sliced bread so you have to be good with a knife if you want toast.

The recent refurbishment is pretty good - the rooms are well-equipped and the public areas are quite posh. We have been staying here ever since it was the Handelshof, this was my second time since it re-opened. The breakfast is good, all you can eat and good quality. The location, right opposite the Bahnhof and the bus station, couldn't be better - you can get a tram up to Altstadt very easily, or walk it in fifteen minutes, and there are bars and restaurants nearby if you don't fancy the hotel bar. The housekeeping is really very good - fresh bottled water every day, fresh toiletries, great care taken not to disturb your stuff.

The public areas seem somewhat dark, which is fine for an intimate drink but somewhat gloomy at breakfast. The idea of having old suitcase as bedside tables is quirky and fun, but impractical - too easy for your night time glass of water to slide off!

Stayed 2 nights. Good location to railway difficult to access by car. Although once aware easy. Paid Car €15 per night to park few minutes walk. Reception is, in bar area and the staff very welcoming and helpful. Good free WIFI, and paid car parking. Bedroom was very spacious very clean with TV. 1 comfortable very large 2 single bed clean. Bathroom is ensuite and very clean with toiletries. No coffee making facilities  in room.  Would highly recommend and would stay again, especially  if visiting for train rides, as only 1 minute walk across the road
