The room was bright, clean and we had a lovely view onto the canal and the train Bridge with the hanging ferry. A bathroom with an outside window! Yeay! The breakfast was great, only the things one likes and wished for. :o) No miracle because we were allowed to choose upfront what we wanted to eat. Perfect. Wonderful dining room, partly a bright conservatory, also with the view over the canal.

I liked it all. Just for people who cannot climb stairs well, remember to mention that so you get a ground floor room! ;o) .

As US guests, they thoughtfully put us in Room 1 with canal view. Use address Albert Betz Strasse not mailing address for GPS. Watch shipping, sailboats while dining al fresco. Breakfast is a la carte, fresh from the kitchen. One of the great places we have stayed. Huge bathroom!

Amazing property on the canal. Lovely 'artificial beach' with loungers in which to relax with a cocktail and watch the ships go by. Nice spacious and well-appointed room. Good restaurant. Great schnitzel with bratkartoffel.

The room we were in didn't have AC, which required us to open windows for cool air. Windows didn't have screens that unfortunately let in little flying critters.

Great breakfast, and we really found walking from the hotel very interesting - the ships passing, and the wind turbine factory.

The steps up to our room, but the oucture windows made up for that.

WOW, just wow!! What a location! When I booked, I thought it would be nice and interesting to stay in a location that’s a bit different. But never imagined the beauty of this. The canal was busy with freight ships passing through, amazing to watch as the day faded. Lovely short walk around the property and along the canal in the morning after breakfast. Which incidentally was fit for a queen! Staff extremely helpful and friendly, our waitress in the evening was brilliant at translating and explaining what the various choices were. Their schnitzel is out of this world!! Our room was first class, I could have stayed a week! ( but had to carry on to my family in Denmark)

The location and view is exceptional and the restaurant very good - traditional German food and wine.

Fabulous location on the Canal, watched the various sized ships and boats pass by, room was excellent, the food was excellent, the beer was excellent, Marc is a great host, cannot recommend the hotel highly enough.

Wonderful location on the NOK (Kiel Canal). Good sized rooms, friendly staff, nice menu and very good breakfast.
